I think I might have liked this book more if I hadn't read the reviews BEFORE I bought it. I was expecting something much more informative than this. Sample projects, perhaps? Instead there is a chapter introduction discussing the status (or lack thereof) of illustration within the fine and applied art worlds and then the rest of the book consists of syllabus's from different Illustration professors around the country. This is not to say that I didn't get something out of it, because I did, but nowhere near as much as I thought I would.
This would make a great text for an illustration teacher to have on the side, in addition to a textbook, but don't expect any earth shattering information.
