4.0 out of 5 stars Strongly recommended, November 21, 2000
This review is from: Teaching and Learning at a Distance: New Directions for Teaching and Learning (J-B TL Single Issue Teaching and Learning) (Paperback)
Thomas Crys Daniel provides an excellent overview of the directions and process related to distance learning and the impact it will have on the learning industry. His research examines the emerging learning industry, which is harnessing Internet and other new technologies to enable learning at work, home, and school. This book applies a wider lens to learning that embraces the possibilities and dynamics of the new technology-based learning, in particular looking at a wide range of self-paced, ad hoc learning activities as well as more formal, course-based learning. I used his book extensively for my dissertation and I strongly recommend it to others.
