As a college senior I have had many assignments calling for concert repertoire. After purchasing both volumes 1 and 2 I have had a much easier time with the assignments. I have all the program information at my fingertips as well as a start towards program notes. I was also able to find pieces to use for our university's band to perform on our student conductors concert. Knowing instrumentation needs and before even ordering music, knowing which sections will be great practice spots I was able to plan ahead for what limited rehearsal time we had.
The Teaching Music Through Performance series is excellent and I plan on purchasing all the volumes (once I have a job and a stable income!) |
