teaching palliative care a practical guide edited by David Jeffrey, September 16, 2006
This review is from: Teaching Palliative Care: A Practical Guide (Paperback)
The book title is very misleading. One would think it has to do with teaching palliative care. But this is not the case. The book is about teaching-learning principles and methodologies, planning teaching sessions and so forth. Only the last chapter even mentions a palliative care issue in a 'lesson plan' and no clinical content is discussed.
This book is a major disappointment. I was looking for palliative care clinical content and how to teach this particular content. Again, the title should be 'How to Teach'.
I would only recommend this book to a novice educator who needs to learn basic teaching skills. It is definately not worth the money.
