Teaching Preschoolers How to Swim in Seven Days! [VHS]

I was stunned at how short this video is (10 1/2 minutes). I expected more step by step advice. Instead, she says things like "Teach your child to roll." Uh, how, exactly? There are not many demonstrations of HOW to teach something and I get the feeling the child she is working with already KNOWS all this stuff! I haven't shown it to my granddaughter yet and she may enjoy watching it, but I don't feel it taught me anything that will help me teach her to swim.

This video is very short and offers no useful information for the parent. I just gave you more information in this note than is in this video.

I purchased the video early this summer. My daughter is 3 1/2 and it has been a tremendous benefit getting her use to the water. We watch the video over and over together. It is not a long video and keeps her attention. The little tricks for teaching her to get her face wet and the references to ice cream scoops etc. were invaluable.

Molly can now float, kick and swim all over the pool. I have a great little swimmer now whom I am very proud of! It was money well spent in my book. Carol Eckert

Take your child to a professional swim instructor. I have taught for over 15 years and this is by far the worst video I have seen. I wanted new ideas for my instructors. I found my 15 year old instructors are better than the video. Don't bother.

YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED. There are a couple of good points, however, the whole video could have been covered in a pamphlet. I don't believe there is anything in this video that will speed up the process of learning to swim.

I found the swim video to be a very good value. It was less than one lesson! My daughter Emily, 3 years old loves to watch it over and over. We practice the three main lessons together in the pool. She has made great strides in less than two weeks. The video state a week, but it has taken use two weeks to get the swimming down. Ryan my 6 year old loves to watch it also, though he is already a good little swimmer. The kids love it and it helped me to cover the basics. Now my kids are on their way to being good swimers and safer this summer!

I found the video very helpful. Especially the safety "tips" for my son (Eric) to learn... Spiderman, big spoons, etc.
He loves to watch it over, and over, and over...
Eric has become quite a good little swimmer!!!

I am very happy with the video. My daughter has watched it over & over. She loves to copy the "Big Spoons" and "Spiderman" moves when we are in the pool. It has been a great tool! It was so reasonable priced compared to the other swim videos I looked into. We love it!

This is an excellent video for teaching preschoolers. Yes, it is short but that is exactly what holds my 3 1/2 year old's attention! She has watched this video over and over and has taught herself how to swim. I highly recommend it!

I was very disappointed by the contents of the video. It is not cost worthy or value for money at all to have less than ten minutes content and cost you $14.99. You just can't teach your kid to swim after watching the tape. I would tell my friend : "DO NOT buy this tape"
