Teaching Tennis: From Tots to Teens,
By Andrew Slade "North Shore naturalist, There a... (Duluth, Minnesota USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Teaching Tennis - from Tots to Teens: The Complete Guide for Coaches & Parents (Paperback)
If you're looking for a comprehensive teaching tennis guide, this is a good one. I would recommend it for coaches or parents who really want to delve into teaching their kids. It's not a light read, but rather a detailed plan for putting together a program. As a parent with 2 youngs kids learning tennis (ages 9 & 11), it's helpful to understand the psychology of how kids learn and what they're capable of at specific ages. If you really want to tackle the "coaching" part of teaching your kids, this will help you put together a plan. If you are more interested in just casual ball hitting with your kids every now and then, this book will have too much info for you. The photos that are included are helpful.
