This is a WONDERFUL book. I am currently in a yoga teacher training and have worked in the classroom with 1st graders. compared to my very comprehensive class text, this book strikes the perfect balance of teaching children the concepts of yoga practice, living your yoga off the mat, breathing exercises, and FUN. It has wonderful sample lesson plans that are easy to customize to your needs. It even has lesson plan formats to cater to different groups of children - i.e. ADD/ADHD. It also contains lesson plans for a wide range of children - toddlers to teens. Even includes ways to integrate storybooks with your practice. THUMBS UP!

I have used this book countless times in my elementary PE classes. Grades k-5 love the lessons, poses and stretches. Many of the classroom teachers in my school have borrowed the textbook to support the activity in their classrooms and recess. Great book.....after 31 years of teaching it is great to have fresh ideas to impliment into my curriculum.

The illustrations are very good. Teenagers and children are photographed showing the yoga poses and descriptions. It's an interesting book that is especially for that age group.
