Product Description
New teachers often face challenges in their first year of teaching that their textbooks might not have prepared them for: getting a job, preparing for the first day of teaching, ordering supplies, assuming the role of teacher, and more. This book is a survival guide for teachers with the "first year jitters." This book gets straight to the point of what works for new teachers, and in a clear, engaging voice, explains how to do it. The book offers numerous methods for instruction not specific to any one subject or content area. The realities of the modern classroom are reflected in this "must have" guide. Designed for anyone thinking about entering the teaching profession or novice teachers.

(REAL NAME)
Anyone who is either thinking about teaching a vocational course
or hiring someone to teach a vocational course, who does not have a teaching credential should buy this book. It's a little pricy, but it sure beats spending a semester in college for Part 1 of a teacher credentialing program.

It's basically everything in the Designated Subjects Teacher Credential course in one volume. Subjects like classrom decorum, lecture & lab techniques and student evaluation are thouroughly discussed. Normally teachers in vocational programs did not take college courses to prepare themselves to teach, they worked as carpenters or cosmetologists most of their life. This book takes them into the next step in a very productive career.
