"This book goes out into the world of matter with the blessing of the world of spirit. I pray that each whom it reaches may have his eyes opened and his soul touched, for until the soul is quickened and is aware of the higher, deeper, nobler and greater things of life, the individual is living in a mist"
-SILVER BIRCH

One day, some years back, I saw a book sitting there, which my dear mother had bought. It stared at me with it's attractive purple front cover, and a portrait of a native Indian on it. Not really one for reading books, however, my attention was drawn and I picked it up for the sake of me having nothing else to do. At that time in my life, being only 17 or so, I had many questions and thoughts in my mind, about what exactly life is supposed to be about. I opened the book to any old page and began reading. I became so interested in what was contained within, that I read the whole thing, and I set out to find the others in the series too. The book gave me an interesting insight into many aspects of life. If you seek true knowledge then you will be provided with a great richness of it when reading this book, or any SB books for that matter.

This "Teachings of Silver Birch" book, is the first one of all, and was first printed in 1938! Old you may think? Well, the knowledge is that great that it still very much applies to today's world, and it will for a great time to come. Silver Birch is a highly evolved entity from the other side, or "spirit world", who spoke through his instrument (the medium, Maurice Barbanell) during seances that were held at the meditation circle of Hannen Swaffer. Each time the spirit came through to deliver it's messages, everything that was said was written down by a journalist, and that is how these books were formed.

Very interesting book. It is a must read for anyone who is in search for the truth. Silver Birch answers our curious questions about existence. Why we exist, where we come from and going to after death, why our lives are the way they are, who we really are, why there is good and evil, and much more. Even though some people might find this book controversial to their beliefs, it is not a reason not to read it, since it makes one think and use common sense. In principle it actually reinforces religious, moral and philosophical beliefs. Anyone over 18 should start reading it to understand their real role in life.
Silver Birch was a Red Indian on earth and now an evolved being in the after world serving the great white spirit or what we call god. He explains how the universal consciousness is working through people as they express themselves individually in the material world so that they would evolve. Birch reveals the meaning of the human life, giving strength and hope to all f us here on earth and teaching us the divine laws of the universe.
The book is well organized into several topics in which silver birch teachings are conveyed. It can be easily skimmed through or read without any particular order which makes it readily accessible. Every time it's read it has a different meaning depending on one's state of mind. Enjoy, for we are all happy and peaceful in nature.

This book will probably resonate only with those who are seekers, or those whose minds are open enough to at least listen to messages of wisdom from Beyond. Silver Birch has cast himself as a disembodied Red Indian, an entity of advanced understanding speaking through a live, human "channel" to bring us Truths that go beyond the teachings and distortions of the various religions.

He says that there is, indeed, an afterlife, free of the material restriction that we know on Earth, definitely NOT restricted to only those who have chosen to follow some elitist, exclusive, religious creed. That "The Great White Father" has established the unchanging "Natural Law" that establishes, governs, guides the evolution of of all forms, whether living, non-living, physical or spiritual, and is NOT a fearful, jealous, wrathful or vindictive God.

There are no errors, mistakes or sins, however serious, that keep the spirits of the dead from entering the disembodied realm many of us call "Heaven." Those errors are caused by a lack of understanding that must be corrected before progress can be made, often requiring repeat visits to Earth in different cultures, in different bodies. Earth was formed by Natural Law as a type of school or "laboratory" to live experiences that will advance understanding.

Silver Birch is not the first or last spiritual entity that has or will contact someone on earth to spread the Truth. He was active around the time of the first World War through a medium in England where he was widely known.

The Teachings of Silver Birch is such a wonderful book and his message is so beautiful. I didn't finish the copy I had because I knew it was so profound that I had to pass it on to a friend who I know is ready for what Silver Birch is saying. I have since ordered 2 more copies, one for myself and one for another friend. So far I have bought 8 of the books of Silver Birch and plan on purchasing every book ever released about him.
