I recently purchased this Carrier for my new Beagle puppy. I did a lot of research on the product especially the dimensions to make sure it would be something that would be big enough for her to grow into. 26"L x 14"W x 18"H. When I got the Carrier from Amazon, I was so excited as it looked just like the picture. It is very well made. The only HUGE fault of the Carrier is that it really is not 26" of living space. It might be 13" as 1/2 of the inside is taken up for the handle compartment. I knew that it would be hard to return back to Amazon being so big, so I decided to keep it until the dog is too big. The description also mentions that there is good ventilation. Well I was not too happy with that also. The mesh on 3 sides does not allow the dog to see out & the human to see in. When I brought my dog home in the Carrier on a 4 hour trip, I was not able to see what she was doing.

I think that Teafco need to redo the description for this item I would say noting over 13 inches should be place in this Carrier. They should also recommend what kind of dogs would be comfortable inside. This is not for a Medium size dog like a Beagle.

Wish I could have rated it better, but for something so expensive, the company should be a bit more truthful.

I LOVE THIS buggy/dog carrier. VERY durable with plenty of room for my 35 lb Beagle/Australian Shep mix. Perfect for traveling on the train heading out to the beach. Don't be held back by the size...you will get used to it. AND by the lack of space you may think of when you look inside. The sides will give when your pup curls up....but not to worry, the fabric is SOOOOO durable. I do recommend placing an ice pack covered with a towel when traveling during the hot summer months.

Though not its intended purpose, this makes a perfect BUS for our special needs Chihuahuas and Chi-mixes. Several can fit in here at one time for safe trips to the Vet etc. Very sturdy and functions well as described.

The carrier arrived quickly and is well made. However when they say 26 inch carrier, I expect the interior space to be 26 inches long. Well, I guess it is 26 inches, but it slants up fairly steeply about halfway back so if you have a long dog, it's not really set up so he can lie flat.

The buggy is very solid and, although I have not used it for very long, it looks durable.
As already noted, the space inside this buggy is smaller than it appears. However, my 25 lb dog does fit into it.

I bought this item used for $60, which is a steal, but I would like to confirm what other shoppers have mentioned. The interior is slanted to accommodate the handle. Picture a wall of plastic at the exact angle of the handle and you will see the predicament. It literally cut the sitting space in half, which is a very poor design flaw. I took mine apart, cut the wall and remounted it in a angle more fitting and added about six inches of space but those who are less crafty might not want to bother. My dog, while scared and shifting around apprehensively before it was expanded, is calm and serine afterwards. She is a 35 pound Shar-Pei mix who's measurements laying down are about 24x12x12. This was the largest carrier in its class and thought the measurements given would fit her, but I was mislead. Argo should seriously consider installing a pull strap instead.

I purchased this for taking my cat in my vehicle from NY to AZ. From AZ to NY She could not handle tranquilizers, and did not travel well in a cramped cat carrier or large (open) cage. In this carrier I could easily transport her from the car into the hotels, and she never complained while being rolled across pavement, curbs, or across thresholds. She was quiet the entire trip, slept peacefully, and I attribute this to the darkness of the carrier, perfect ventilation for a cat, and carrier padding. If she had clawed it, I didn't care, as long as she was quiet during the trip. I still use it for taking her to the vet, and she still does well with it. The vet thinks it is the best he's seen - for a cat.
