About the Author

Dr. Carl Harshman combines years of practical experience in the world of work with a strong academic background in organizational development. He has worked with such distinguished clients as Ford Motor Company, General Dynamics, John Deere, Boeing, Eaton Corporation, and National Steel, as well as public sector clients such as the State of Washington and the City of Vancouver. His books include Teaming Up: Achieving Organizational Transformation and Team Training: From Start-Up to High Performance. Dr. Harshman and his colleagues at Harshman & Associates combined their efforts to provide this comprehensive work on team leader development. Joanne M. Schindler, Ph.D. manages the Northwest Regional Office for Harshman & Associates and has worked on large scale organizational change efforts with joint labor/management clients for over a decade. Her client list includes Ford Motor Company, John Deere, Laclede Steel, LTV Steel, General Dynamics, King County Department of Public Works, Washington State Employment Security Department, the United Auto Workers, United Steel Workers, Service Employees International Union, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
