5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Paintball Sniping
If you are into paintball sniping, this is a must-have DVD (five-star). If you are into woodsball, you should be aware of this (four-star). If you are into speedball, you may not find much of use, but it is instructive (two-star).

The quality level is professional. Clear video, excellent sound and music, good editing, good acting.

You get to see how "camo"...

1.0 out of 5 stars GARBAGE....pure garbage
This is the biggest waste of plastic I've ever heard of. At just over 6 years in the military (paratrooper and Cav Scout), and been playing paintball on and off for about 12 years, I can say this is STUPID. 15 years of being a "paintball sniper" is the same as "being in the top 100 for 3 weeks straight on World of Warcraft"......NO ONE CARES!!! If you are into paintball sniping, this is a must-have DVD (five-star). If you are into woodsball, you should be aware of this (four-star). If you are into speedball, you may not find much of use, but it is instructive (two-star).

You get to see how "camo" can really work (I get tired of people all decked out in standard camo and they stick out as much as my speedball jersey and pants). The focus is on the skills, not on the outfit, but you can understand a lot between the lines. The focus on strategy and knowing the field is good (and applies to speedball as well!).

One thing that I got tired of was the number of times "okay" was said. Another peeve was how often a reference was made to those with $1200 and $1500 markers. Apparently someone has a chip on the shoulder. A somewhat valid point, but come on, especially when playing with a $600 marker yourself instead of what most people use in the under-$150 range. Slight peeves, but the content made up for them.

The bloopers at the end were funny. A very instructional hour or less. Recommended for paintball enthusiasts (like me).

1.0 out of 5 stars GARBAGE....pure garbage, December 24, 2007

This is the biggest waste of plastic I've ever heard of. At just over 6 years in the military (paratrooper and Cav Scout), and been playing paintball on and off for about 12 years, I can say this is STUPID. 15 years of being a "paintball sniper" is the same as "being in the top 100 for 3 weeks straight on World of Warcraft"......NO ONE CARES!!! First off, alot of fields don't allow ghillie suits because they cause too many bounces. Second, I agree with the Marine, they're VERY hot to move in, and most paintball players have little to no patience, so they just look like a big, moving bush. You'll look like either a retard in front of other people, or worse, people WON'T play you because you'll look all hardcore. Second, paintballs don't fly like real bullets. They arc, so "aiming" is extremely difficult, unless running a Tipmann "Flatline" barrel. Third, as for moving quiet, try this kids...go to the woods and stand still, and have a friend walk toward you at normal speed...you'll be amazed how close they get before they hear you. So creeping all day long is a waste of time, and you just look stupid getting shot by the guy who's been watching you "creep" for the past 10 minutes. Last, paintball is about FUN, not "survival". Get out there and PLAY!!! I see fun as running from point A to B, dodging paint fly, unloading paint, rushing some poor helpless sap with several of my buddies, and yes, even getting hit can be fun (goggle hits are great!). Fun ISN'T parking your butt in one spot for 20 minutes hoping someone walks by, or "camping" on a flag. This isn't fun. So don't buy this DVD, PLEASE!!! For experience, get away from the TV, grab your gear, and go and actually PLAY, learning from experience, mistakes, or tips from other players. Paintball is a TEAM sport, not individual, so quit tying to be like Vassili Zeitsev (a famous Russian sniper) and PLAY

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting only, January 29, 2007

This was way over the top on paintball sniping. I give it a 3 for the attempt but other than seeing a minute or so of action shots it is not at all educational

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money, don't do what I did., November 2, 2005
This review is from: Team of One, The Paintball Sniper (DVD)
I should of known better than to buy this
My first instinct, with the reviews from here and other sites
was hey this is cool maybe there is some good footage and some awesome fights. Coming from the infantry in the Marine Corps, this was a waste of time and money, especially if you are civilian. I was just caught up in the excitement of paintball and was thinking this would be a cool video, didn't know this was trainer. The guy is teaching bad habits, its says on the back of the box he is a 15 year paintball sniper veteran, woopey doo. All he did in this video is say hey buy a ghillie suit. Don't waist your money
-ghillie suits are exspensive, and waste of money
-they are very hot, once you start running with them you will wish you didn't have it.
-If you go to a playing field the odds are against you they will count debris and bouncer that hit you.
-Just find a good set of cammies but if you really want one just make one yourself; look online, ask someone in the military, there is a lot of ways to do this.
GOOD TIPS TO KEEP IN MIND that they failed to do
There so called sniper was wearing black and white tennis shoes that stuck out like a sore thumb
don't have a rainbow looking visor that will be the first thing they will see.
before you go out silence, and eliminate anything that shines, such as your bling-bling watch
jump up and down and till you can't hear anything other than you jumping.
Utilize leaping and bounding, moving from one covered area to another instead just walking.
My best advice is find someone that is prior
military, renegade, and ask for advice
instead of some shmuck with money

1.0 out of 5 stars Team of Lame, April 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Team of One, The Paintball Sniper (DVD)
If you like watching pretentious amateurs thinking they're in the matrix, this DVD is for you. This is a DVD of purest fail, clearly put together by amateurs with no skills in video production or paintball. If you watched it on youtube, you might chuckle and move on, but to charge money for this is an offence. I bought this to learn and what I learned was never again to buy anything by these chuckleheads. Avoid like cancer.

5.0 out of 5 stars PREDATOR OR PREY, December 19, 2005
This review is from: Team of One, The Paintball Sniper (DVD)
You can be a predator...

Or prey.

Camouflage might be a state of mind.

As a fifty-something gentleman who remembers the early days of paintball when it was all "One Shot - One Kill" and your marker had to be cocked between rounds and often misfired, I watched "Team of One, The Paintball Sniper" from experience.

Back in those days, most teams used the skirmish line and "firing squad" approach. Five guys or so would sweep the woodlot playing field in a loose group, taking cover and firing at will when the enemy was engaged. The better marksmen with better cover and a little luck emerged victorious... especially if they managed to catch their enemy offguard and in smaller numbers.

I worked alone.

"Team of One, The Paintball Sniper" brought back memories.

It offers sound advice and practical lessons on honing the skills and strategies necessary to become an effective paintball sniper. Find knowledge when and where you can and use what works for you.

Very highly recommended.

I along with those who play paintball have found that paintball is a fun sport. If you are one full of adrenalin and have the need to keep on the move and in the action of the game from start to finish always needing action you probably will not find "TEAM OF ONE" is for you and will be greatly disappointed in it and wanting to leave a bad feedback on it. TEAM OF ONE is for those who have the desire to be an effective sniper in paintball and have the patients to be a sniper. So if you are fairly new to paintball and want to be a sniper and would like the beginning ins and outs of being a paintball sniper then this DVD will be of great help to you, or even if you are a veteran at paintball but have never considered being a paintball sniper and want to move into the sniper area this DVD will be of help and because you know the paintball terrain you will find it probably easier to merge into being a sniper if that is your choosing. If you are an experienced paintball sniper and want to improve your skills you may find some of the information useful that you have not considered before but in the long run it will leave you still wanting more. This DVD is for those who have the desire to learn to be a paintball sniper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Video For The Beginer, December 17, 2006
This review is from: Team of One, The Paintball Sniper (DVD)
If you are new to the sport and would like to learn something different than the regular "spray and pray" method of playing, then this video is for you. Even a seasoned vet could learn something from this video too. I have played paintball with Jim Baldwin, he taught several of us what he is showing in this video. Let me tell you something, with a little practice and patients........ IT WORKS!! The first scenario that he shows about how one man can take out a small team of players, I actually did that at one time. After noticing that I was the only one left shortly after we started the game. As he describes all through this video, he is only showing you the basics of paintball sniping. I would highly recommend this video to anyone who wants to learn a thing or two from this man!

Good luck and thanks Jim!
