Good,

I liked this book, because I've been a fan of Parker since he was introduced. This book is really very close to what goes on during those big events and the life of an eventer, so much as I know. But here's anwser to a widely asked question: The story doesn't end itself because the editors/publishers cut off the last chapter to make the book shorter. ..

The book was really really good, when I picked it up I couln't put it down. It's one of the best TB books yet. But the ending really stinks. It leaves it on a total clif-hanger, but not in a good way at all!! I was so mad when I got to the end at the story just ended (i wont give it away) like that!!

Parker ? Foxy ? TB is going downhill !,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Team Player (Thoroughbred #50) (Paperback)
Ok first off. This book was ok. Not great not horrible. If you like a good read about Parker than go ahead. Give this book a try. If you are a loyal TB reader then I would say read this book and be very dissapointed. Parker gets a new horse - which Ihappen to like alot. He still has Foxy but what's up with Foxy...? I mean come on writers !...Argggg...... Ok Parker has been a great character from the beginning - well at least I liked him. This book makes parker almost look bad. What has happened to funny never cares about a thing Parker!...Double Humph. All I have to say is that this book series ended at about book 24. I want the old charcters and the old series back.

Going Downhill,
By A Customer
This review is from: Team Player (Thoroughbred #50) (Paperback)
I'm sorry, but I remember when the first Thoroughbred book came out. I bought the next three right away and I continued to buy future ones. However, right away I started to get discouraged by the time gap these books have. I am not very thrilled with the idea that the horses and people that I loved in the early books barely mean anything anymore. I miss the older books, they just keep getting farther and farther out of touch.

I LOVED IT!!!,

Wow, this book was excellent. I loved it! I've read ever single book in the series and this was one of my favorites. The only thing that I didn't like was that the story really didn't give much of an ending. Be prepared for that if you buy it. I was really wondering what happened there. This book is excellent for three day eventers, or horse lovers. It talks a lot about Parker not doing much with Christina, who's busy with preparing Star for the Derby. This book is a must to all Thoroughbred and Horse Book Collectors!

Daughter Loves Them!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Team Player (Thoroughbred #50) (Paperback)
My daughter loves these books. She has almost every single one. Whenever we got to the book store she runs to the back of Barnes & Nobles where they are kept. She reads them over and over again. She never gets bored of them.

Parker IS A GOOD GUY,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Team Player (Thoroughbred #50) (Paperback)
Some people say that Parker is a jerk, but HE IS NOT!! He was wrong to push Fozy too hard, but he felt horrible afterwards indicating that he LOVES Foxy. And, I've learned ALOT from the eventing part of the series. So, it's not about racing for once, but that's OK! I LOVE Thoroughbred, and it is sad that some people think it's going down hill. It's NOT!

There Were better thoroughbred books,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Team Player (Thoroughbred #50) (Paperback)
ok- great parker townsend tries to make the team- i knew that he was trying to make the team for like 10 books before this one. eventing is the one problem about this book too. the thoroughbred series started out with -one word- RACING- and this series is suposed to be about racing- i think that this series is going downhill- and fast!

It could be worse,

I love the Thoroughbred series. But I'm having some MAJOR issues with the new writers! If I made a list of all the little details that shaped the series, I'm sure the new writers woulnd't know half of it. I would like to know about what happend from the time Christina was 3-12. Maybe a super edition to tie up loose ends at Whitebrooke in that time frame. Not like the 2 books about Cindy. But, about this book, it was really good. It shows that Parker has more depth than Christina's loving, supporting boyfriend who would never leave her. Yea right! How many relationships are really like that? Not many! The book was great, anyone who loves Thoroughbred HAS to read it!

A key part of the Thoroughbred series...,

This book is a key to the Thoroughbred series. It leaves a lot of suspense and open doors. We all wonder what will happen in the future with the series.
