2009 release, the third solo album from the Hip Hop star. Tear Gas is being dubbed this year's blockbuster album, featuring a host of Hip Hop favorites from coast to coast coupled with Jacka's unique production to create a feel all his own. The first single 'Glamorous Lifestyle,' with its commanding horns, Jacka's signature melodic flow, and a guest appearance by cult favorite Andre Nickatina, is nothing short of stellar. Key tracks include the album's opener, 'Summer,' the Mistah F.A.B. assisted 'Callin' Me Back' and 'They Don't Know' featuring Freeway.

With his third studio release, The Jacka gives us another great album like nothing he's done before. Tear Gas is easily The Jacka's most accessible/mainstream project to date. Before you panic, let me say I mean that in the absolute best way possible. Tear Gas is a gem, that significantly deviates from the sound of prior alums such as his freshmen classic The Jack Artist. Even in todays hip hop climate, Tear Gas is an album that could do numbers nationwide, but as is often typical of Bay Area artist, the Jack is overlooked. The album is a bit feature heavy, but with good reason. The Jacka reached out to a multitude of artist, ranging from out of state features like Freeway, to independent west coast acts such as Mitchy Sick and Planet Asia and Zion I, all while staying true to mob roots with traditional figa features such as Cormega, Andre Nickatina, and Ampachino. Tear Gas is an album that will please most long time mob figa fans as well as appeal to first time listeners nationwide.

tear gas! superb album!! his best since the jack artist! i - loved - every - track! thank you! i have been a fan since the late 1990's! also very creative album cover! it's like the jacka is the only soldier immune! free hus!! mob figaz!! only for listeners of real hip-hop! if you don't have it, then please go get it! support real hip-hop!! death to pop rap!!

This has got to be one of my most anticipated CDs...ever. After Jacka blindsided me with the 5 star classic that was "The Jack Artist" I scooped up everything I could from him. His first self-titled CD is OK as was the "Jack of All Trades" MIXTAPE but they don't come close to "The Jack Artist." In fact, I thought "Jack of All Trades" an album when I bought it and was MAD dissapointed.

TEAR GAS is the PROPER follow up to his classic and while it is not as dope as "The Jack Artist" it is not far behind. Jacka goes with a more commercial feel to his production on this one, though Rob Lo still shows up for a few tracks. The beats still slap something soulful and Jacka rides them (no homo) as he always does. The guest spots are real heavy duty and show Jacka is capable of hanging with the major labels. Definitely something here for everyone and I love how he unites different types of rappers on here. Dream with Ampichino and Zion I is one of the best tracks on here. You also have Cormega stopping by and Planet Asia and Phil Da Agony. Definitely a dope album that should appeal to all.
