5.0 out of 5 stars aero bed saver
tried a variety of *super* stick patch kits on a $150 aero bed and none worked. still not sure why or how I stumbled upon this product but it was the easiest of all the kits to apply and, stop the presses, IT WORKS!

I think the best part is that its transparent, that way you can see just how much this patch really flexes when the aero bed is inflated. That...

1.0 out of 5 stars Tear-Aid
After reading all the very positive reviews on this product, [[ASIN:B000RNY72M Tear-Aid Roll Vinyl (B)], I felt it would be the one to help me repair some bad spots in my aging spa cover, made of vinyl. Let me also say that I fully understand the variables that can and do affect the adhesion of a product like this. I used to sell labels of all types and varieties. The...

I think the best part is that its transparent, that way you can see just how much this patch really flexes when the aero bed is inflated. That little puncture is 5 times as wide once the bed is blown up and this tear-aid stuff just stretches with it. no wonder river raft guides know all about it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product! Does what I needed it to do!, September 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered this product after trying several others to repair the holes in a vinyl, blow-up bouncy ball pit thing that my kids love to play and jump in. The thing takes a lot of abuse, so once it had some holes, I thought we'd have to get rid of it, but this product worked beautifully to patch the holes and has held up for several weeks now. I will be ordering more.

Used this product to repair a hole in the seam of an inflatable bounce house. It was easy to apply and worked like a charm. Enough comes in the box to patch several sizable holes. Very pleased.

Due to an ongoing war between the nighttime varmint and I, I am frequently reassessing the fate of the swimming pool. In previous years I'd ride my luck, then throw it way after the night on which I lost. And eventually buy a new pool next year.

Not this year though. The varmints struck on the first night of the new (and perfect pool). Instead of giving up, I ordered this tear repair. It works perfectly. Its a bit easier to apply than duct tape, and seems to hold well. The only patch that's leaked was my first that had a wrinkle that went over both a hole and the edge. In that case I was able to peal the old patch off and put a new one on that worked fine. I rather suspect I could have reused the old patch, but I didn't think of it at the time.

The critters have mistaken the pool for chewing gum again, and I've run out! Though the pool has patches everywhere, you can't see them from a distance, especially not with all the squealing kids running around!

Maybe I'll just take up new repair kits every year, and save the same old pool!

1.0 out of 5 stars Tear-Aid, July 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TEARepair Tear-Aid Roll for Vinyl (Type B) (Misc.)
The product failed completely on my vinyl cover. I would not adhere even though the temperature was well within the suggested range and I did clean the surface per instructions, but to no avail. I even attempted a low amount of heat on the product but it still would not adhere. I suspect that at least part of the problem may have been that the vinyl I was using it on was aged and weathered, being fairly dried out. But just so you know before you order, planning to make a repair on some older outdoor vinyl product, you might want to give it a second thought before you spend the $25 like I did for a roll of the stuff, with no warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Kayak Patch, June 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My brand new Kayak was delicious, so it seems, to my Dog. I Found a Silver Dollar hole in the bottom inflatable portion. The remnant was lying nearby, Seems it was not quite that delicious.. :{

First I carefully tore a piece of ductape and inserted it sticky side up within the hole. With the sticky side still up I pressed the torn piece back into place. This was done to keep the Tear-Aid Repair Patch from adhering to the opposite wall of the chamber. Then with the fabric as flat as possible I carefully placed the Tear-Aid Repair Kit B pre-trimmed piece over the entire damaged area with about 1/4" overlap all around. Then pressed it most vigorously and with great alacrity on to the wounded Kayak Hull. Tear-Aid Repair Kit B is well worth the cost. About 2 hours later I inflated the Kayak to max recommended pressure then sat in it for about an hour.. I dozed off.. Hell I am 70, I'm aloud to nap ! ROFLMAO.

BTW.

The Dog is still alive and doing well, though does seem a bit shy now. Seems her nose had a close encounter with the remnant and the spot it came from for a second time. Stupid Pit Bull! Loveable but Stupid.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tear Aid, June 6, 2011
Tear will work IF you have a very flat surface with no seams. It will not work on any seam at all. It will let air under the tear aid and not seal.Tried 2 boxes and did not work.Still have the leaks and will have to use the glue and large patch kit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for vinyl car seat repair, March 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I used this product to repair a tear on the side of the drivers seat. This is an area that is subject to a lot of flexing every time the vehicle is used. The area of the tear was rather difficult to get to, but once the patch was in place it seems to hold up well. Be sure to clean the patch area well before applying the tape and let it cure overnight.

This review is from: TEARepair Tear-Aid Roll for Vinyl (Type B) (Misc.)
I bought this tape as well as the sister product "A" to repair a rip in a pop up tent. The rip was about a foot long and right at the seam where the fabric, screen and vinyl window all came together right by the door. Now, one of these tapes is for vinyl and the other is for everything else so the problem was how to make them work in this situation. I managed to do it by overlapping the tape that works on everything else onto the tape that works on vinyl. As I'm writing this, I don't know which is which. What I do know is it has held and repaired a foot long tear. Because the tape is clear, it is not as ugly as it could be. It's not invisible, but it does the job in a apot that I thought would be impossible to fix. I'm very, very pleased with this product. Because it stretches once it is applied, it is holding and I believe it will hold for some time to come.
