I agree with the other reviewer. The song Pigeon Woman is my favorite. The rest of the album is very good as well.
I first heard Jane Lui at the Kollobaration Acoustic competition last year where she won against some pretty tough competition. Her vocals and piano playing are amazing. Since then, I've become a huge fan. I looked her up on youtube and found a cover she did of Norah Jones "shoot the moon". I was curious so I compared her voice playing back to back with Norah's shoot the moon video and sure enough Jane's voice in my opinion was more pleasing to the ear. And I'm a big Norah fan! I'm looking forward to catching Jane at her next live performance, hopefully she comes out to Vegas someday.

As soon as I heard her performances on [..], I searched for her music. Very mellow, relaxing music. Not sure if she composed all of these pieces (if so, touche on talent!). While I enjoyed all of the songs, after 3-4 listens, the ones I kept on my playlist is 'Pigeon Woman' and 'Freddie Goodtime'. Check out her live performances online yourself to see that this woman is the real-deal.

This is Jane Lui's first album and is simply beautiful. If you like artists like Tori Amos or Norah Jones, you'll love this album. Support independent artists! Buy it!
