4.0 out of 5 stars Christian Morisette (?)
Actually, I got this album accidentally. I was looking for another album that was coincidentally released on the very same day as this one... That being said, she has a good voice and the album has a diverse array of music styles on it. Sometimes she sort of reminds me of Alannis Morisette, but then again she can sound very "sweet". My favorite track on this one is:...

3.0 out of 5 stars Many different sounds on one album
When I first heard the single "Aren't I lucky" I absolutely loved it. It has a great hard rock sound to it that isn't too common of Christian female singers. Because of this one song I was interested in buying this album. Now that I own it I realize that Charity is experimenting with several different sounds. My favorite songs in order are Aren't I lucky, Drown, Bend,...

Because of this one song I was interested in buying this album. Now that I own it I realize that Charity is experimenting with several different sounds. My favorite songs in order are Aren't I lucky, Drown, Bend, and Silent Boy's Dream. These songs all fit the funky rock style I was looking for. The other songs are pretty mellow but their growing on me. If you're sitting on the fence wondering whether or not to buy this album I'd recommend going ahead and getting it. It's cheaper than most CDs and the good songs are worth owning.

I bought this on a whim and am pleased with the purchase. Charity's music is catchy and upbeat, with some serious themes that go to the heart. Thanks for the music.

5.0 out of 5 stars She definitely sings from her heart, December 30, 2004

When I first heard "Aren't I Lucky" being played on 89.7 FM in Dallas, I was immediately intrigued. The song is especially captivating, and the lyrical content had me curious. I later learned the story behind the song, which explained the honesty she expresses in the song, as well as the "Aren't I Lucky" phrase. As for the remainder of her CD, the melodies are not nearly as powerful, but what she says in those songs comes straight from her heart. As the other reviewer said, at times she does sound like Alanis M., just a more angelic version. I recommend the CD.
