I picked this book up because I had heard how sexy and kinky it was, but I was surprised at how great the storytelling was. LaDawn has written a book that is not only a turn on, but will also question the way we view people from different walks of life. The book was such a mix of races, economic levels, ages and more that there was a story for all. My favorite stories were Gloria and Voorhies because being that I am a mid-lifer I totally got the thread of how age and experience guides our romantic choices. The book was a great read that i could not put it down. It was funny, smart and sexy and a great book for anyone 21 to 61. I am definitely adding this one to my favorites. Plus, I loved Destiny as the narrator. Her journey made me feel that you should never ever settle.

TEASE is about personal ads taken out in the Hot Sheet of Tease, a Baltimore newspaper. Using the personal ads as a backdrop, each story tells an erotic tale of men and women who are searching for the right somebody who shares their same interests. Destiny, the editor of the Hot Sheet, is like the conductor of these tales and even she finds it hard to navigate the dating world and understands why folks use the personals to find Mr. or Mrs. Right.

The stories range from fetish to those looking for just a simple hook up. The stories, however; end up with folks finding more than just sex, but something a bit more lasting. Each story begins with an ad and from there sensuality and even lust appear. All of the stories were appealing and nothing truly over the stop. There were some laugh-out-loud moments, but overall a tasteful and fun collection of sensual stories that engages your senses as well as your mind.

Erotica has been elevated. Black has written a funny and sexy book that will change the way you view all the online "freaks" looking for love, a smack, quick hook-up and much more. The book was so hot that I actually had to put it down a few times realizing that my man was not home and my own gratification was out of reach. The book revolves around TEASE a Baltimore weekly paper and the sexual frustrations of its news team and readers. There are 11 stories in the book and each of them tells the tale of a different lover looking for their fantasy. The characters are old, young, straight, gay, rich poor and all of them refreshingly interesting. I loved that although the book features a straight black couple on the front the stories inside seemed to reflect many different cultures, tastes and kinks. I loved the book because it was a true story with great sexual scenes peppered in. Black is definitely a new voice in erotica. I cannot wait for TEASE II.

Tease by LaDawn Black is an interesting collection of steamy short stories centered around personal ads that men and women send in for the weekly "Hot Sheet" section of the Tease newspaper.

Destiny Brooks is the editor of the "Hot Sheet" and is having her own relationship problems. This book goes on to detail various personal ads from different people. Some of the stand out stories are the ones from Cassandra, Gloria, and Voorhies. Readers will have fun wondering if these people will find what they're looking for in these personal ads. Tease is filled with saucy and humorous escapades that make for a very quick and entertaining read.

Tease by LaDawn Black is a refreshing look at classified ads with a cool look into the people who write these want ads to the folks who respond. Tease is full of quirky people who are not looking for love per se, but looking to get their freak on, by any means necessary. Can you place an ad and feel inhibited? Why, yes you can. Many people think that it is crazy to submit an ad requesting love, sex, some hot foreplay and nothing else. These are your average folks here, from the stay-at-home mom to the executive of his own firm. Everyone is getting their swerve on, so why shouldn't you.

One of my favorite ads was Gloria's looking for babes in the woods, is what her ad read. I have a picture of Gloria in my head and the description of her and how stable her home, marriage and children were made me wonder what was Gloria missing. Gloria had love, money, great kids and a wonderful home; but where did her husband fit in this equation? Alone and lonely was Miss Gloria, that was until she decided to take her life back and get her groove on.

The characters are colorful, the ads are outrageous, the responses are shocking and the laughter is contagious. I loved reading these ads and being able to relate to some of the people who were responding. I recommend Tease to readers of all genres.

My wife brought this book and could not put it down and I love to clown her that she does not know how to pick books. I read a chapter and to my surprise I couldn't put it down either. Black's male characters are so real and their thoughts mirrored my own. The stories were short but they all were exciting, sexy and dead on. I want to read more fiction from this author who knows how to tell a story that lingers. I was a fan of Bryce and Darwin. As far as the ladies go, I liked Staci and Xavia. A great book that both of us (me/wife) could enjoy.

11 of the most romantic, kinky and funny tales I have read in a very long time. From Gloria discovering a new love by the sea, Bryce getting some in a most public way and Xavia needing more than her perfect husband -- each story has a unique voice and point of view on love and sex. Loved the newsroom sex tales as well. Go Destiny! Black has a series in her feature with this one. My only gripe is it is hard to find in stores. I had to find a small black bookstore in my area to grab it. Boo to the publisher on that one!! Worth the search tho once I read it. A "Sex in the City" for the urban and fabulous!

I am so surprised when books are daring and really go for plot and fun. This book is not only sexy but smart as well. All the stories display humor, passion and of course some of the hottest sex scenes to hit the page. A page turner for those long nights when you just need a little something to get you in the mood. I had my wine and the music playing low as the short stories unfolded. There is something for everyone and one of the best examples young love that I have read in a very long time (Darwin). Definitely worth a read!

When I read the reviews on this book I had so much expectation for it but it turns out to be not what I was expecting.

I really like to read and this book was referred to me by a friend, so I ordered it and I have say I was slightly disappointed, the title is was got my attention to the book, after the second chapter I put it down and never picked it back up which is very unusual for me I usually read a book in one sitting, but this book didnt do it for me sorry, I couldnt get into it.
