I do have a regular kitchen timer, so this wasn't a necessary purchase. But I drink a lot of tea and decided to go ahead and buy it anyway so that I wouldn't have to re-program my regular timer 10 times per day.

This little gadget works great and all that is needed is to hit the time-designated button that you want (1, 2, 3 & 5 minute) & then hit start. Since the entire purpose of this thing was to eliminate the need to mess with a timer, I was a little annoyed that there was even a start button. Why not just hit the minute marker that you want and then have the timer start the countdown immediately?

Regardless, it works great. And it also has the ability to be used as a regular timer, in that you can set it for any number of hours and minutes that you desire. So if you don't have a regular kitchen timer yet and also drink tea (or have some other use for the pre-determined settings), this is the only one you'll need.
