I am not exactly the most coordinated when it comes to the fine motor control that it requires to put these kinds of things on. I actually purchased 2 sets, one for my 2013 Kindle File HD 7, and one for my 2012 Kindle File HD 7. In both cases I was glad the packs came with 3 each.

It took me 3 tries to get the first one on the 2012 Kindle because I kept getting dirt stuck on the film when peeling it off and on to align. With my second Kindle I had easier time, partly because of the lack of a camera on the 2013 model, but mainly because I had practiced so much with my other Kindle.

I finally did get it on and once it is on, it really is pretty darn invisible. You quickly forget that it is there. My older kindle had a few thin surface only scratches on it, and this screen protector made them completely disappear. I am sure they are still there of course, but you can no longer see them at all.

TIPS:

1) REALLY REALLY clean the screens AND your hands. The directions tell you to wash your hands with soap and water - DO THIS. Seriously. Do it. :) Also the more dust free the environment you are in, the better. The tiniest spec of dust under it stands out like a baby pink elephant in a black and white movie.

2) Peel the backing off the screen protector as you put it on, that will reduce the number of times you touch the sticky part.Take your time and push the sticker down as you pull the backing off. Keeping a fold in it, maybe 60 or 70 degrees, helps push it on without air bubbles.

3) You can peel it off, and put it back on, but try not to. The more times you do that the more chances you have to get dust stuck to it, and once that happens you are pretty much done and have to start over with a new one.

Over all - definitely worth the price of admission.

Just got this product today and I was impressed especially with never having placed a screen protector on any device, ever. I've read a lot of reviews about the protectors bubbling up but I did not have an issue with these. I opened the package, read the instructions, and 4 minutes later my screen protector was on my Kindle Fire HD 2nd gen. I had no issues with bubbling and the protector does NOT cause a pressure delay using your finger or a stylus. It looks just like the screen. I definitely recommend these. There are 3 included and honestly, those 2 probably won't be needed for a good while, if at all.

This is a good product, but the reason I am not giving it five stars is because they don't recommend that you watch their three minute online video first. I went through two of the screen protectors and could not seem to get the bubbles out. So, I watched their online video and found I was doing it wrong, it was not until the third time that I got it on correctly. But, this time it was clean with no bubbles and looks great. Make sure to watch the three minute video first, but its a good product and I really like how it comes with three protectors instead of one; it also comes with a cloth, instructions, and tape for removing dust.

I have used Tech Armor on every Kindle device I own and they keep the screen protected and clean. The company offers a lifetime gurantee and they put three of these in the package. If you ownany device with a screen you want to protect then Tech Armor is the screen protector to get.

Everyone said 'oh those screen protectors always get bubbles! and they're a pain to put on!' but I was determined. I watched the videos, read the directions, watched the videos again - arranged my dust-free space in the bathroom, laid out all the various bits, washed my hands and dove in. I cleaned the screen carefully, used the dust tape to remove any dust I couldn't see, had a couple false starts getting the bottom edge and sides lined up perfectly, then watched in amazement as the screen protector just sort of rolled on practically by itself. Smoothed out the two tiny bubbles with the squeegee wrapped in the lint free cloth, then to my horror I saw an eyelash! at the edge of the screen under the film. Carefully raised the edge and used the dust tape to pluck out the offending eyelash, squeegeed some more just on general principle, removed the second protective layer and voila! It was done.

You can't even tell it's there. But I know it is, and I feel protected :) And I still have two screen protectors left! I think I will stick one on my daughter's Kindle while she's out and see if she notices, haha.

Seriously, it's a great product and easy to apply. Go for it.

I've had a Tech Armor on my original iPad mini for over a year now, which has taken its fair share of abuse from a toddler. I am very impressed with how it's held up and I haven't had to replace the first one I put on. Due to a great first experience, I got the same kind for my new Kindle Fire.

My experience with application is that it's quite easy and looks really good once applied. The only tricky part is aligning it. In the process, 2 tiny little dust specs got underneath and I'm hesitant to peel it up to fix for fear of making it worse. But I'm not sure how it could be improved. This has happened with every screen protector brand I've used.

My only qualm is that these don't create the best surface for using a stylus on, though I assume nothing has quite the same feel as the original glass.

Overall, my take is that for the price (absurdly low for 3 good quality protectors), I haven't come across a better deal on many products ever. Other than the one or two specs of dust, I apply this and forget about it. Exactly what I want in a screen protector.

This company is very easy to deal with. I had an issue with the first one I tried to put on. I was able to get the air bubble out but when removing the second tab the whole thing came off. Somehow I put a scratch in the second but it doesn't interfered with anything and you can only see it in certain light. I didn't use the hint to put the cloth around the scraper that is used to get the air bubble out so it may have happened then. I didn't have any problem getting the air bubbles out either time. The company was very fast in replacing the screens and sent a nice note that if I needed any replaced in the future to let them know. I don't think a company could be any better than that.

Was easy to apply and was super easy to get the bubbles out. A tip I can give others while using the card to remove air bubbles is to wrap the end of the card with the soft cleaning cloth. This will keep the card from scratching the protective cover.

Item arrived on time. Although it didn't really fit the new kindle HD 7" I have perfectly. Vertically, there's a bit of space (about a quarter inches or so) left on the left and right side. I would prefer it to fit all the way to the edges.
