With two young kids that are always eager to get their hands on my iPod Touch, I wanted a screen protector on my 5th Generation version before I even brought it home. I was able to install the Tech Armor screen protector in one try and it looks great--crystal clear. Now if the screen gets scratched, I can just replace the screen protector rather than the glass!

I purchased these for my daughters new ipod 5, she put these screen protectors on and seems to be very happy with them. They went on easily and included everything needed to make a good adhearence to the screen, plus only one small, tiny bubble! a highly recommended product...

I enjoy the matte finish for my screen protectors as the glossy ones tend to show more of the fingerprints. If you've never put a matte finish on your screen before just know that it reduces some of the clarity of the screen, but it's almost unnoticeable. It's less than the difference between a glossy and matte photograph. It's got a nice feel for my fingers and I'm wiping my screen much less now.

The slight downside to the screen protector is that the edges don't lay flat perfectly. On my first attempt I was able to get all the bubbles out of the screen area but I couldn't get the edges to stick down. I use a case though so it perfectly hides my mistakes.

Small tip: work fast as the static cling of the screen protector when you peel the first side will attract small particles. Also make sure that when you are aligning the screen protector to center the front camera hole so you don't accidentally cover it.

Very easy to apply the first time. If you have a new Pod, remove the protective cover on the device and give it a quick wipe with the supplied cloth. Remove the clear shield protective cover on the matte shield, be careful to align the protector right and apply as directed (lift it up and straighten as needed and reapply). You can see it attach itself with no bubbles as it goes on. The included card worked great for the few tiny bubbles that were on the sides. It has a non-reflective matte finish, that is not dectectable when the unit is on. Highly recommended and would buy again. I do not know why it comes with 3 but it doesn't matter. Arrived fast with 2-day Prime in a bubble envelope. The matte cover is thicker and easier to apply than other, thin, cheaper shields.

This screen protector for the iPod Touch 5th Generartion is absolutely great! Its easy to tell that its made with quality once you see and feel it. Its matte, which gives it its anti-glare and anti-fingerprint properties. And installation is super easy with the tools provided in the package. The only problem I encountered during the installation was difficulty in the alignment. Since the screen is so long its hard to get the proper alignment on the first try. I will definitely be ordering this product again!

So I just bought this hurriedly because I was getting the new iPod Touch 5G and wanted to protect it. I figured I could buy a better one later. Wow was I surprised! It went on easily, fit well and there were very few bubbles, I was able to get them out with the included tool. I've used lots of these protectors for many devices and this is the best one I've EVER used!

Before I opened the box containing my new iPod Touch 5th Gen, I decided that I wanted to protect the screen from the start. Other Amazon reviews of this, and competitive, products seemed to point at this screen protector being the best. Of the four alternative screen protectors offered by Tech Armor (HD Clear, Anti-Glare, Tru Touch, and Anti-Fingerprint), I opted for the HD Clear primarily because 1) I did not want the protector to be noticeable when installed, and 2) I did not want to risk degrading the image quality of the Retina display on the Touch. The Tech Armor HD Clear exceeded my expectations on all counts.

The package in which the screen protector comes contains: a sheet of detailed installation instructions, a "thank you" sheet with contact information for Tech Armor Support, a lint-free cloth for cleaning the iPod's screen prior to installing a screen protector, a sheet of dust-removal tape, a squeegee made of plastic-coated cardboard for removing bubbles between the iPod screen and the screen protector, and three die-cut screen protectors. Each screen protector, which has die-cut holes for the iPod's "home" button and front-facing camera, was itself sandwiched between two thin, tabbed sheets of plastic to protect the protector. It was clear that the Tech Armor people thought about what their customers might need, and addressed those needs. I should mention, too, that this particular screen protector is designed specifically for the 5th generation iPod Touch, which has screen dimensions different from all previous iPod Touch generations.

The instructions encourage the customer to view a short, narrated video on the Tech Armor website prior to installing the screen protector on their own iPod -- something that I would recommend doing. After viewing the video and reading the instructions, I was ready to install a screen protector on my own iPod. After cleaning and polishing the screen with the supplied lint-free cloth, I partially peeled back one of the two thin, tabbed sheets of protective plastic, aligned the protector with the bottom edge of my iPod, and slowly allowed the screen protector to lay itself against the iPod screen. Two bubbles were easily removed using the cardboard squeegee. It was at that point that I noticed a tiny piece of dust, between the protector and screen, that I had failed to remove. I lifted the edge of the screen protector, used the supplied dust-removal tape to remove the speck of dust, and let the protector lay against the screen once again. Unfortunately, I had inadvertently touched the underside of the protector with my fingertip during the partial removal, and a tiny semi-circular edge of the protector would no longer stick the the screen. I removed the first protector from the iPod and prepared for a second attempt.

The second installation attempt went perfectly. Circular cutouts in the protector aligned perfectly with the iPod's "home" button and front-facing camera, and the edges of the protector aligned perfectly with the edges of the iPod, covering its entire screen without overlap or skewing. At this point, I removed the top, thin, protective sheet of plastic from the protector and installation was complete.

The screen protector is so clear, so glossy, and so perfectly cut that it is difficult to tell that the screen protector is installed. Touch sensitivity of the iPod's screen is not impaired, and the Retina display is just as clear and bright with the screen protector as without. Wiping fingerprints off the protector with a cloth or (in my case) a tissue leaves no streaks, scratches, or other marks. I have to admit that I was expecting something to be deficient about this product, but there wasn't. It exceeded all of my expectations.

Very good screen protector, installation was simple and left no air bubbles. It does leave fingerprint smudges, but its not a big deal for me. For those who don't know - make sure you clean the screen with the cloth provided, because dust will make air bubbles appear after you've placed the screen protector.
