Tech Craft SVR50X Rotating Component Rack - Pretty good!,
By K. Wyatt "ssintrepid" (Cape Girardeau, MO United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Tech Craft Component Rack (SVR50X) (SVR50X) (Electronics)
Having recently made the decision to upgrade to the Sony KV-36FV310 36 inch television facilitated the need for a new entertainment center of some sort for the living room and this monster of a television. After much research I decided on the Tech Craft FV360-1 television stand which is designed specifically for that television and advertised as so by Sony for it! Having decided on that it was time to find a component rack for all of the audio and video components that would match the television stand and the television itself. The SVR50X is the perfect choice in my opinion as in color it matches perfectly and in ease of use through the rotating aspect it was the perfect choice. Once it was constructed and it was time to put all of the components in, I found the rotating aspect of this A/V rack to be a perfect accoutrement to the entire system as it is quite simple to just turn it in the proper direction to make all of the proper connections. The one major downfall to this rack and what I found out about Tech Craft in general between this rack and the FV360-1 television stand is the instructions for these items. I guess that I've been used to Sauder products over the years where the instructions are clear and concise and the parts are clearly marked with stickers or in places where once installed they'll never be seen again. Tech Craft apparently uses the policy of "picture" association as the parts are not marked and the instructions are not clear and concise which causes extra time in insuring that you've got the proper part or piece otherwise you may cause damage to the rack or have to take it apart and try again. Overall, despite the lack of clear and concise instructions, once constructed, this is a beautiful audio/video component rack that makes the perfect accoutrement to the larger silver televisions of today. I would definitely recommend this item if you're thinking about buying one of the larger televisions and will have to replace your existing entertainment center. {ssintrepid}
