I was so disappointed when I opened the box. I was nervous about the color because each picture it looked different and several people commented that it wasn't what they thought it would be.

Let me help you out with that one--it is a dark, dark brown. Not totally black, but close. The ugly part is that they have "distressed" it with an almost orange color. So, it ends up looking like it's black with sanded sections of orange. It's hideous. I started to put it together and just couldn't even finish it because it was so ugly.

I don't know about the construction or strength because I never finished putting it together. It seemed to be super easy to put together, that all I can say on that. If you like the Halloween look of black and orange than this TV Stand is for you... if not, avoid it! Don't let the low price suck you in! Spend a little more and get the one you really want!

After you get it out of the HUGE box and assembled this piece of furniture looks very nice and has plenty of room for my tuner, center speaker, xbox360, xbmc, wii, and cable box. The finish is hard to describe, it is like a wood stained black with brown lines in it. Gives it a sort of antique look. The brown lines are not noticeable from more than 3 foot away. All the shelves have adjustable height and the back board has perforated holes you can punch out for cables.

I only have three real complaint. First are the assembly instructions. They are mostly illustrated with very little verbiage. Second the pieces are numbered in the illustrations but there are no corresponding numbers on the pieces. There were not so many pieces that this was a big problem, just took a little more thought during the assembly process. Third the cabinet doors were very difficult to mount level. We were never able to get them absolutely level but it's not really noticeable.

For the price and with the free shipping I would recommend this product to a friend.

Looks and function just as well as pieces priced much higher. Took a little time to line the doors up properly but ended up OK. Unit is heavy and once you get your components on it and its on carper it will not move easily so have some slack in your wiring for future additions or cable setup.

I received the product damaged. It looked like they tied it to the back of the delivery truck and dragged it here. The box was taped together as if it had been opened several times before. The foam inside the box was in a million pieces and several pieces of the TV stand were broken. What was even more odd was that one of the pieces that was broken did not have the other half in the box. To me, this could only mean that 7gifts re-packed damaged goods and sent it to me. This is where I have an issue with 7gifts. It may not be there fault that it was not delivered with care, but it is their fault that they tried to sell me goods that they knew were damaged. Returning the product was a huge project. Given that the box was destroyed the burden was put on me to find another box (needed a box at least 70 inches long which is hard to find) or else FedEx would not pick it up. After several weeks, 7gifts told me to bring the peices to a UPS store which I did. I had to pay $30 for packaging and I'm still waiting on my credit from 7gifts. A complete disaster. I eventually went to a store and picked up another TV stand.

I bought this from another seller here on Amazon for about $200, and it is worth every penny, even my wife likes it and she is picky when it comes to furniture in our house. First, we already have a distressed black finish on a few items in the room, this is not a perfect match, but from 3+ feet away you cannot tell. Second, believe it or not, the construction is better than some Pottery Barn items we and other family members have purchased, this thing, especially the top, is HEAVY. Third, time to build is about 1.5 hours for one person (me in this case), and I needed my wife's, four year old daughters and ten year old sons help to hold items only three separate times for a few minutes each, nothing crazy. I would recommend you follow the directions and images slowly and carefully, I did not not miss a beat. And finally, the door knobs are heavy metal, the back black construction board can be cut to fit different sized cables or removed for more ventilation. Overall, all six component locations are roomy and sized the same. I currently have an Onkyo receiver, Dishnetwork box, Pure AV protector, Sony DVD, XBOX Elite and POLK amp loaded without issue, Wii will go on top. I mounted a small battery operated LED (Sylvania Light Flute) above each shelf so I can see the controls if needed at night, it looks very nice...see photos. Overall...FOR THE PRICE...this is worth every penny.

I just bought this stand the other day and completed the assembly in about 2 hours. It is an absolute sturdy stand if it is assembled properly. The directions to assemble it are really vague and do not provide and verbage for putting it together. It just includes pictures of what pieces need to get put together with other pieces. The stand is pretty heavy once it is fully assembled. The color of the stand is very unique. It has this antique black feel to it, so it is totally black with spots of brown on it. I personally liked the way it looks. One of the pieces of wood had a piece of laminate come off, so I had to use touch-up paint to correct it. I think its a great stand, and the assembly was fairly easy.

This is a heavy piece of furniture and is the perfect size for my 55 inch Sony Rear Projection TV. The picture makes the stand look like it has a cherry finish, but it is closer to black. The center compartments are open (no doors) and that is very good for my receiver, as it generates a lot of heat.

The unit was shipped on time with no damage, and all hardware was in the box.

I would go 5 stars, but the right door hangs a little crooked (slants down 1/8 inch on the top from right to left)...not enough to bother me, but drives the wife crazy.

I would buy it again.

Quick and easy assembly. Very sturdy and looks good. Goes perfectly with my 40 inch flat panel.

For the money this is a quality TV stand. Easy to assemble... one hour and 20 min. by myself. Instructions of the assembly are by picture only...may give some people trouble if not familiar with reading blue prints. All parts were received... the top of the stand had a impression from the banding... either was banded too tight or was from delivery cycle by people lifting by the band. This is a heavey item especially with the audio/vidio compontants inside. I would recommend to a friend.

Cabinet came well packed and flaw free. Instructions were clear and concise and assembly was straight forward. Good solid construction and hardware. Would recommend to other buyers.
