This stand is amazing! It looks very good and has a lot of space for your equipment. I just wish that it was a little higher because some of my equipment doesn't fit. You could probably stack 2 Xbox's 360 but don't expect to use very high end equipment.

The first thing you should know is that the weight spec on Amazon is WRONG. Amazon says that the shelf holds up to 260 lbs, but the label on the stand says that the top shelf can support only 130 lbs. With my 115 pound plasma TV, I didn't have much to spare. The two lower shelves are rated at 80 lbs each.

This shelf is a perfect fit for my 58 inch plasma TV, but I'm glad the TV stand wasn't any bigger. I had about a half inch of extra space. The depth on this stand is just short of 16 inches and the stand was over 15. If you have one of the pretty new TVs with shiny black bezel, this stand compliments beautifully. With the smoked glass, most of the detail of the stand is pretty well lost in even a semi-darkened room. That's the way it is with black, and is a good thing unless you're trying to show off the stand instead of the TV. The smoked glass is gorgeous, and heavy. If you want classy modern, this is it.

The printed assembly directions leave much to be desired (the stand is made in China). There are no text instructions, only drawings, so you have to pay close attention to the location of the holes, and that you get the right hardware in the right place. Holes are not pre-tapped, so you need to be careful to get screws started straight. I also found that several screws did not want to snug down, almost as if the hole was slightly oversized from the start. I was careful to not overtighten, so it was not an issue in the end, but I would warn to be gentle and careful. Don't use a power screwdriver to assemble! Use hand tools. Assembly took me a couple of hours, but this was because I wanted to get it right the first time. I did it by myself, but it wouldn't hurt to have a second person handy. If I had to build a second one immediately after the first it would have taken less than half that amount of time.

I wanted to put my center channel speaker on the upper of the two lower shelves. I knew it was going to be a close fit, and it was. Make sure you measure first or you may be in for a nasty surprise. Once you've got this unpacked there's no way you're going to pack it back up and send it back.

The glass for the two bottom shelves sits on little clear silicone rubber self adhesive pads that you press onto the stand frame. I found out the hard way that you don't put any lateral pressure on the glass as you're putting it in place because those pads will not stay put. I lost two in the carpet that way, and there are no extras. Set the glass into place from above; don't try to slide it in.

With no major assembly problems, and a little luck regarding the misinformation on weight handling capabilites, the end result for me was fine. The stand is exactly what we needed, and half the price of a lot of others. Pay attention to the size dimensions for your particular application and you'll like this stand. I am absolutely thrilled I purchased this stand for my Mitsubishi 60" DLP... it fit perfectly (2 inches longer on each side of my TV) still made it look like the two were made for each other. This stands looks like it should cost a whole lot more. The black high gloss finish and smoked tinted tempered glass make an amazing combination! Setting up was so easy it felt like I was missing some pieces... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STAND!!

This stand is the one pictured with the Mitsubishi WD-65835 65" DLP, and is exactly what I use it for. I searched for it because I really liked the stand Mitsu was showing with their TV, only it seemed hard to find and they didn't state what stand it was. Research pointed me here.

The thing is built like a tank and is very heavy. It isn't going anywhere. The glass is extra thick and could probably withstand anything falling on it. Its stronger than the metal frame.

The TV runs exactly to the edges for a nice flush fit. A match made in heaven! And it gives the TV the perfect height for the best vertical viewing angle, critical for DLP.

This stand goes together easily and has a pleasing design that doesn't invade a space. It could use larger or differently designed cable pass-through holes...perhaps slots.

Beautiful piece of furniture, much more impressive in person. Piano-gloss black finish, dark smoke-screen glass shelves, simple yet elegant design complements my Samsung PN58B860 TV. This stand looks like it's part of the TV. Gorgeous! Besides, it is so easy to assemble. Buy it, you'll be happy!

This stand worked great for our 60 inch plasma. Truly looks fantastic in our living room. Very high quality looking. Had a problem with one of the cams when putting together but still seems very sturdy. Tempered glass is nice and thick!! Exceeded my expectations for the price!! Highly recommend!!

I was able to assemble this stand by myself with few problems (that should say something, right?). It is a perfect fit for my 55-inch LED HDTV and looks sleek and modern. With free shipping, it was the best bargain of all the stands I considered.

Just got this for my new Samsung 55C8000. Very modern look. Fits well into corner area where we have TV. It's slightly lower than what I might have wanted, but it works. It is very solidly built, both actually and how it looks. Glossy black piano look is awesome. Was reasonable to put together, took a little over 2 hours. I'd definitely recommend this for a nice big HDTV along with all the components.
