Product Description

Techni ICE ~4 PLY HDR 3 color model! How do you transport food safely? Camping? Picnics? Games? Current methods are of course a refrigerator in you have electric, but those of you who venture outdoors such as fishing, camping, back packing or picnicing need a more convenient way of keeping foods cold. Old methods include gel packs or dry ice. They both leave much to be desired. Dry ice is hideously expensive and hard to locate. Gel packs are only good for a couple of hours and they start to melt. Ta Da! New technology!! Techni ICE made in Austrailia is now available. The advances made by Techni ice are truly amazing! This easy to use product is purchased in a dry lightweight state and is hydrated by the consumer. Once well hydrated, it expands and is then frozen overnight. That's all there is to it. Place in an insulated cooler for use. You use several sheets to maintain a frozen state for DAYS. You use just a couple of sheets to maintain a refrigerated state, for DAYS! You can also pop one into your lunch box, bottle bag, or even backpack to keep things cool. The best part is, they are reusable! Unlike dry ice which evaporates over time, Techni ice can simply be refrozen and reused, again and again. They are even guarenteed by the manufacturer for 3 years against breakage. Use HOT or COLD! Techni ICE Uses 1. Camping 2. Picnics 3. Sports or Concert Events 4. Bottle Chilling (Wine, Beers & Soft Drinks) 5. Boating 6. Tailgating 7. Injuries, aches & pains 8. Angling/Fishing 9. Heat Therapy (sore backs etc) 10. Parties, Wedding etc. MORE uses! - Lunch Boxes - Transporting Frozen Groceries - Outdoor Food Displays - Transporting Medicines - While Defrosting Freezers, Keeping Food Frozen - Used In 12V Fridge's To Make Thermally & Energy Efficient. 24 individual cells make up the 13 x 9 sheet. It can be cut to size for lunch boxes, coolers, bottle bags. Safe, non toxic. Trusted Authorized US Distributor

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for keeping things cold!, September 20, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Techni-ICE Sheets, Better than Ice or Gel Packs! Reusable, Dry Ice Replacement (Kitchen)
I came back to change my review. At first I loved this product. I used it in a drink bag to carry drinks They stayed cold more than any other ice pack I have used. And the fact that they come without water was great for storage. But it is also their biggest downfall. It tells you that water goes in through a one way system but it comes back out also if you are so unlucky to let them thaw. I learned this recently the hard way. Amazon woul not let me edit the stars but I would have changed tham to 2 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST COOLER PACKS I'VE USED, April 24, 2008
This review is from: Techni-ICE Sheets, Better than Ice or Gel Packs! Reusable, Dry Ice Replacement (Kitchen)
I really wasn't sure this product would work as advertised ,but I was very happy it did. The way you need to activate them seemed odd ,but not difficult.
Food and beverages stored in my cooler after 16 hrs.at high tempertures felt as though they were just removed from the refridgerator.
I use 2 1/2 sheets in a twelve pack cooler. I have yet to have any problem with any kind of water leakage as they thawed ( one woman stated she had). Considering the great cooling you get if I ever did get any water leakage I would just stick the sheets in a ziplock bag . Heck , you would do that with ice.
I also was very satisfied with the extra room I have using the sheets compared to ice.
