very nice and my son loves it. it has detailed instructions, needed tools, and every part is labled, this made it easy to install the desk. It took me(the mother) about two hours to put the whole piece. I'll recommend it.

We purchased this desk for my 4 year old son and he loves it. It is very sturdy and will last him a long time. Took some time to put it together but well worth it. Can't believe how reasonable the price was for a desk so solid. I just wish they had a matching chair the went with it.

This is the perfect desk for my son's not-so-big room. It did take a couple of hours for my husband to put it together, but it was worth it. We didn't assemble it with the keyboard drawer because it will be used with a laptop. The side "pocket" is the right size to hold magazines or notebooks. The white and blue box on the bottom is actually a drawer that is large enough to hold standard sized paper and supplies. There is plenty of room on the top surface for writing or using the laptop. I am very happy with this purchase, especially for the price.

Got this for my 9 year old. Its kind of a pain to get together but once its done we couldnt be more thrilled. Very cute desk, plenty of space for a kid to work with.

My Daughter was surprised that she finally got a desk in her room. The desk is perfect and allows school work to be performed comfortable and computer activity is easy to use with the pull out key board tray. There is plenty of storage and is a sturdy piece of furniture. We are very pleased with our purchase.

This desk took some time to put together, but is great quality for the price!~ Nice for a smaller space too!

We bought this desk for my 6, almost 7, year old son for Christmas. We read the reviews and knew it would take a couple of hours to put together. It did. However, most of it was very straight-forward. The instructions were very simple to follow and it even comes with the screwdriver. All of the little turn and click fasteners were pre-installed. My son has severe ADHD and we needed a desk that could handle a bit of roughhousing. This desk is super sturdy. It is made out of real wood that has a durable plastic type (read, washable!) coating on it. The keyboard tray is also very sturdy. I particularly like the details. I didn't notice the silver circles in the photo when I opened it that are on the bottom on the white piece on each side. They were the biggest hassle for my husband to attach but the final product made it so worth it. My son sits at this desk in a dining room chair very comfortably. We have a PC Tower underneath as well as a laser printer that are placed like the photo. There is a drawer that holds all of his little toys and pens, pencils, crayons, etc. The side pocket (which can only be attached on the left - I was hoping we could switch it to the other side) holds all of his various art projects and papers. We have a large LCD monitor on top and there is plenty of space around it. I did not want a large desk because this needed to go in my living room where I could keep an eye on him. It is very heavy but comes in a box inside a box. The packaging was sturdy and the product has no flaws due to shipping - or even my son, yet. The only issues my husband had assembling it is when he decided to do it his own way and realized it wasn't coming together right. When he referred back to the instructions, it went together seamlessly! We were surprised at the high quality we received for the price. It's a very good value!

I am so disappointed in this desk. It could have been a 4-5 star item (solid materials for the price paid, nice design, and functional). However, I had major problems with the way it is put together. A lot of it screws together which is great, but on some critical connections there are those dumb pegs that are threaded on one side and the other side slides in a hole on the adjoining piece. Then you give some wide screw a quarter turn to tighten it. Most of the ones I put together in that way will not stay tightened and I am forced to put extra screws in obvious places so it will hold up to my 8 year old son. Don't get me wrong, I know that the price is low and I don't expect a high end piece for that. BUT IT SHOULD AT LEAST STAY TOGETHER!!!!!!
I would return it and ask for my money back, but at >80lbs, I figure it would cost about as much to ship! Besides, I followed through with the total assembly just to be sure about the sturdiness (yep, still sucks and I will be using extra screws), and I am not taking it apart and trying to get it in a box again!!!!!!!!!
