Very satisfied with this purchase. These headphones are very impressive for the price, they were recommended over at the head-fi forums and they are the same headphones as the Takstar HI2050. I got them for $50, but although they have increase their price they are very worth it. They come in a nice padded case for safekeeping and they come with a 1/4" adapter. The lows have good impact, very nice for movies and gaming. They are open headphones so they got good soundstage. High really shine when you burn them in, but out of the box they are good. Mids are great but the lows and highs are what they do best, they sound great with rock. If you are looking for isolation and non leaking heaphones better look for closed ones. Only con is that bigger head will have trouble fitting them so try to see if you can return. For those on a budget look no further.

I've been extremely impressed with these headphones. I paid about $50 for them from the Beach Camera link, and it appears they've shot up a fair amount in price, but I think even at that price, they're a great deal (you could probably shop around a bit to find a price similar to the one I paid). I've been a member of Head-Fi for about five years, and bought and sold about 60 different pairs of headphones in that time from all the biggies (AKG, Beyerdynamic, Shure, Sennheiser, Grado, Ultrasone, Audio Technica, Denon, et cetera), as well as some other less known companies. I think these are a killer gateway drug into higher end audio. They've got solid build quality, decent comfort (I believe this is one area where they had to cut corners due to costs), they come with a cool case, and of course, they sound fantastic (wouldn't be writing this review if they didn't). They are not the final word in resolution and detail, although the tipped up treble helps give the impression of decent detail. They're a bit dark, but this could be interpreted as fullness/richness. Bass is fairly well controlled, and impact is great. Soundstage is certainly respectable. They are clearly designed to look like a pair of Beyers, and you can expect a similar sound signature from these (simultaneously bassy and slightly bright). They're open/semi-open, so isolation is not great, but for home use, they are strongly recommended, especially for those of you on a sub-$100 budget. FWIW, I've got them running from my laptop, through the Audinst HUD-MX1, and then through a Purity Audio KICAS, so YMMV. P.S. It says they have a volume controller now. Mine didn't include that, just the 1/4" adapter and the case.

I agree with the 3 other reviewers on the quality of these HFs.
Pros; Sound stage-8.5/10
Clarity-7.5/10(low,mid,hi freq.)
Fit/Finnish-8.5/10
Comfort-7.5/10
Price-9/10
Value-10/10
Case-10/10 ( 9.5in W X 8in D X 5.5in T Foam filled to fit HFs)
They are rated at 60ohm impedance,500mW input max., 92db-SPL, 53mm driver, and 15-25khr range. May need a HF amp for the portables. These sound better than the price indicates! I listen to all kinds of music and these stand out considering the price point!
Cons; Cord-6/10 ( could be a little more pliable!). My over all evaluation is to recommend these HFs for home use.
