I would like to point out and emphasize that the previous review submitted by Jeffrey Butts is actually in reference to the SECOND EDITION. The third edition is completely revised, expanded, corrected, and much improved. Both editons of the book are available, but the third edition is definitely not the same as the second edition and is substantially better.

Excellent reference work. Lots of technical info. More than I needed for my purposes, but well written and organized.

This review is from: Technical Shop Mathematics (Hardcover)
Although, I used this book for one of my math classes, and though I got an A-, I was very disopointed to find out by my teacher that that book contained a lot of errors. Either many of the problems just arn't workable or the answers in the back of the book were wrong. I think it's wierd that a college professor would write a math book on the stuff that he teaches and make so many mistakes, not to menchend the fact that the mistakes were missed by all the people who proof read it.
Abought the only things I did like about the book were the fact that it was hardcover, it was compact which made it easer to hold in my hands, it was cheaper than most other hardcover books, and many of the problems -that were workable - I only found in this book.
