WOW More BANG For The BUCK,
By A Customer
This review is from: Technics SA-EX110 Stereo Receiver with 200-Watt Amp (Electronics)
Absolutely outstanding sound quality for a bottom linereciever! I purchased it for an extra stereo expecting mediocresound. It lacks many desirable features and the remote is sluggish. However I was so amazed at the sound quality, it rivals my main reciever. I highly reccommend this reciever to anyone not requiring a lot of fancy extras. By the way it performs with awesome ability with a Hi-Fi VCR.I still can't get over what a value it is for the price.

I have had this receiver for about 7 years and I have never had a problem with it. The sound quality is better than you would expect and the Amp runs clean up to a little less than max power. Solid, well-priced, and simple. I would not throw this receiver in the trash...
Sincerely, An average guy with no agenda.

In 1998, for my 17th birthday, my dad gave me this receiver. I'd never had a receiver before, never even had an interest, and it was a floor model with no remote, so I was underenthused. I had it with me all through college, and through moves to two states. I gave it to a friend for maybe four or five years and just recently got it back. It's just a stereo amp, which by today's standards is a bit weak, but it is in my room chugging away after almost a decade. I wish stuff was still made that well.

This thing has had a different sound every time I've turned it on, and none of them have been good. It emits a constant buzz whenever something isn't playing, even if it's plugged into a source, and most of the time the sound is too bassy and muted. I say most of the time because every once in a while this thing has stopped acting up, but it's never consistent and it's always annoying. If you plug this into an mp3 player or computer it'll throw a fit unless the source's preamp is turned all the way down. Bottom line: this thing's an amp, and it's not anything more or even good for what it is. Don't buy it. Spend a few extra bucks on something that'll play your music the way it actually sounds.

I have had the Technics Receiver model SA- EX110 since 1989. I bought a store display model and I've had it ever since. It's traveled with me to live in 3 different states over the years and I've never once had a problem with it. It truly kicks massive booty. I don't think I've owned another appliance that's worked this well for so long.
I only came here looking to see if a remote was available as I have, sadly, lost mine. And no, it's not in the couch cushions.

Decent sound and straight to the point AV Receiver. I got this for my self for my 8th grade graduation....with the money I was given as a present 9 years ago. I have used and abused this thing, hooking it up to a 15" sub and Pounded the crap out of it and also very "uneducatedly" hooked it up to 6 other 12" sub woofers. I know....i was 15 at the time..give me a break. I use this almost every day (3,285 days) hooked up to my ps3(ps2 and ps1), record player and computer playing through 2 8" PYLE bookshelf speakers. RECOMMENDED

I also highly recommend this receiver. I purchased it as a second set for a home office and have been very pleased with quality, sound and ease of use. The unit is clearly laid out and all controls are easy to read. It has outputs for 2 sets of speakers and can be connected to CD, VCR, Tape deck, and turntable. The sound is warm and very powerful. It seems well made and I have had good luck with Technics in the past. Additionally, the price is right. I searched all over the internet and Amazon has this unit at by far the best price available. An excellent sounding stereo receiver for $ dollars adds up to a value you can't go wrong with!

This receiver is amazing for the price. The clear sound beats another receiver that I have that costs twice as much. The only negative thing I found about it is that you can't use two sets of speakers at the same time. Also, I would like to comment on Amazon.com. They provided me excellent and expedient service. I received the unit two days after ordering.

Five 5-star rave-reviews from the same anonymous 'reviewer' named "An electronics fan," all in the space of 10 days, from six years ago?
I think there's a special circle in h*ll for sales reps who abuse online rating systems. I got one of these units free from a friend. After a month of playing with it, I understand why he gave it away. It sucks. I threw mine in the trash, where it belongs.

delighted in New York,

after trying several mini systems that arrived disheveled I decided to go the route of building a component system. Wow was I right. this unit is user friendly, beautiful to look, and packs more than enough power to experience the music I love/classical and broadway. It is simple to use has in/out for all the units I would want to attach such as cd,tape, phone and video/audio. it uses 2 or four speakers and the remote and smooth response of the unit to the remote is excellent. I am delighted to start the new millenium with this unit.
