From School Library Journal
YA-- A thorough, well-illustrated guide for advanced photographers. Although instructions and techniques are precisely described, background knowledge in the field is essential. Topics are usually covered in two-page spreads with at least half of the space given to full-color photographs. The explanations of the pictures give reasons be hind the particular shots in an entertaining but informative style and include discussions of specific techniques such as lens, aperture, etc. Its large size makes the book a bit awkward to carry around; however, no one would try to master many of the skills at once so that reading can be done separately from practice sessions.
