This review is from: Techniques of Drawing from the 15th to 19th Centuries (Paperback)
This is an interesting little monograph (about 45 pages)about the history of different drawing media--metalpoint, charcoal, chalk, graphite, pastel, crayon, ink, gouache, and watercolor--but I feel the book should be titled "A Brief History of Drawing Media." It is not about the techniques of drawing, i.e., how to draw, as taught in various academies over the last few centuries. If anyone knows of such a book, please let me know the title and where I can obtain it. Thanks.
