Advancing on with brick stitch,

This review is from: Techniques of Fashion Earrings, Book III (Paperback)
This book is a little more advanced than the author's earlier books, but not much! It must have been written before the advent of Prower Pro and Fireline (fishing line) because she recommends using nylon beading thread. Bugle beads WILL cut through nylon thread in time because of their sharp edges. Though most of the designs in this book have a Native American 'flavor', there are other designs as well. Easy to understand instructions, and except for the porcupine quills, readily available materials.

They get bigger,
By Carol F. Metzger "Carol in Chicago" (Chicago, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Techniques of Fashion Earrings, Book III (Paperback)
As I said in my reviews of books one and two, good clear instructions. Any of the three DeLange books will get you started making these "triangle" earrings so popular in the 'sixties and 'seventies. However, by 1995 I would have expected a slightly more sophisticated presentation. Clearly, Eagles View Publishing is stuck in a time warp.
However, in my (limited) experience, this is the best author on this narrow subject, ever. |
