4.0 out of 5 stars Not an introductory level book, August 17, 2000

This review is from: CDMA Techniques for Third Generation Mobile Systems (The Springer International Series in Engineering and Computer Science) (Hardcover)
This book is good if the subject you are looking for is one of the topics in the table of contents, but there are many features of third generation systems that are missing. There is no mention of transmit diversity or quasi-orthogonal functions. It is written more from a mathematical perspective than an implementation point of view and is kind of difficult to read. The chapter on LMMSE is pretty good though. Different authors write different sections so each chapter stands on its own as a research topic but some are written better than others.
