Why? Because instead your usual disorganized, meandering Gnomon "instructor", Mead is a brilliant designer who has a vast knowledge of not only technique but of the entire rationale behind good design. Without a doubt one of the greatest artists of our time, Mead gives brilliant, generous insight into what makes a truly compelling illustration. It is incredible to listen to this man and compare his work to the glossy yet frequently superficial designs of so many artists working in film today. If you want to understand the type of thinking that brought us such legendary worlds as Blade Runner and Tron, look no further.
