4.0 out of 5 stars Good info, dated though, June 29, 2011
This review is from: Techniques of Three-Dimensional Make-Up (Paperback)
This is the book that got me started with foamed latex appliances. However, it is dated. Although the techniques are solid and well explained; there have been improvements to the art since this book was written in the 70's.
Don't let that discourage you though. The new imprved techniques i spoke about earlier... I figured them out on my own. This book gave me a solid enough foundation to build from that I was able solve problems and improve techniques on my own.
Final word... This will give you what you need to know to make foamed latex masks. However, it doesn't cover pax painting, multi-piece breakdowns, or silicone. But, based on it's contents you'll be well on your way to figuring it out on your own.
