BEST GUIDE TO BRAINSTORMING,
By
This review is from: Techniques of Structured Problem Solving (Hardcover)
Having read a variety of books on analytical techniques and problem solving, this one is the best and the most serious. Whereas other authors use the publication to advertise their consulting practice or write memoirs, this one presents the structured problem solving techniques or "Brainstorming" of its day in 1981. In addition to presenting a great variety of techniques still used today at the various stages of the organizational problem solving process, the book also evaluates their advantages and disadvantages of each technique based on available experience and efficacy studies. As most serious books tend to be, this one is very dry, and not easy toread, but it presents a gold mine of information, along with some discussion of how to select the most appropriate techniques for the situation for fact finding and problem solving work in committees.

One of the best,
By Michael Michalko (Churchville, New York USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Techniques of structured problems (General Business & Business Ed.) (Hardcover)
I am Michael Michalko the author of "Thinkertoys" and other books on creative thinking, and, as such, pretty much read everything on the market. Arthur Van Gundy's books are right at the top with the best books on creative thinking available today.

Must Have,
This review is from: Techniques of Structured Problem Solving (Hardcover)
If you have any involvement in problem solving (and who doesn't) this book is a must have. It is a very organized library of tools and techniques for all facets of the problem solving process. If is out of print but find it and add it to your collection.
