5.0 out of 5 stars Mindless Techno (in a good way ;))
Cajmere aka Green Velvet has always been a favorite dj/producer of mine. I <3 this cd. Classic techno goodness!

3.0 out of 5 stars More Techno, less Funk
I bought this without hearing enough of it and was expecting a different sound, like the light techno/funk you hear in Europe. This is anthem style, throbbing British and American sounding Techno. Somewhat Industrial since he's from Chicago. Ignore the word Funk.

This mix is excellent. It is true, hard techno that sounds European in style. There isn't much 'funk', but if you like straight up bangin techno tracks and good mixing, this is prolly for you.

I've been listening to electronic music for many years, and this
is quality stuff.

Cajmere knows whats up.

I looked at the review, listened to the 30 second previews, and saw the used price. It all seemed great so I was taken. It wasn't a huge blunder as I only payed about $3.50 or so, shipping included but I don't think I'll listen to this CD for a while. It's not a terrible CD but there is simply no redeaming qualitys to be found (in my opinion). Most of the songs sound surprisingly similar, there basically just several seconds of electronica that keeps looping. Though that's not particularly rare with a lot of techno I've bought I still find that most techno I listen to at least is fast, lively, creative, and simply put sounds cool. I regret to say that this CD doesn't really deserve any of those titles, I may be overly critical but I don't recall ever thinking "Wow, that was pretty cool", pretty okay maybe. I don't see why anyone would pay the full price for this CD, it simply isn't worth that much, the used price, yes I could see that but I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'll finish by saying if you enjoyed the Techno Party CD's you probably won't like this one at all.
