2.0 out of 5 stars Snoozer, April 19, 2003

This review is from: Techno Police 21c [VHS] (VHS Tape)
With an older style of drawing and storytelling, TP is pretty much a snoozer. Interesting only for the diehard anime fan looking to fill in his or her catalog AND impressing his or her friends.

Other than that, difficult and painful to sit thru because of the older (GI Joe quality) drawing and coloring and bland/typical plot.

Good for a younger person looking for an introduction and safer due to no "fanservice" and language.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oldschool cyber epos!, September 23, 2000
By
This review is from: Techno Police 21c [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Well, most of the anime fans don't know this one. It is an irrigular movie. It has a little bit the plot of MADOX1 in it. Criminals rip a supertank and get away with it. Finally the tank goes on by itself, on berserk-battle mode and destoys everything it sees. The techno police is equipped with 3 robots (rather cool mecha design!) and battles the crime in the city. Now the army claims their lost tank and want to destroy it, even when a policeman (girlie!) is still trapped in the tank. So battle between criminals, police and the army. Higly recommended for animefans who like the old breakdance/ disco tune which comes with the movie. D#mmn I really like this one!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Oldschool Mecha Vice, September 24, 2000
By
This review is from: Techno Police 21c [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Techno police occurred to me when I saw it on a secon-hand market. I bought it for about 2$. But 20$ would be ok to me. It starts when an army supertank gets stolen by two moron criminals. The Techno police, considerated Ken, the boss and their well equipped police mechabots, are about to stop them. Then the army comes and their is a struggle between the military and the cops. The criminals get out of the tank but now it goes on by itself. A copgirl get stuck in the tank and...Wanna know what happens next huh? Oldschool music included and what a play! Real cyberpunks should love this!
