This is a fantastic idea for a toy, and my 7 year old daughter had a blast designing her animal! But be prepared to possibly spend an hour printing out one animal! Our printer (a Canon MP470) consistently thought the paper was jamming the printer because of the fabric that is attached to the paper. It was frustrating, but the finished product was really cute!

I got this for my daughter recently and she really enjoys it alot. This is a very cleverly designed toy. Who knew you could print stuffed animals on your home printer!

The online wars continue and Printies is the newest iteration of online entertainment for kids.

How does it work?
Once you receive the package you are instructed to go to their website, setup a free account, and download the Printies application onto you computer. The application is what does the magic. Your child basically uses the software to create a new PET, print it out on a test sheet (included) and then ultimately print it out on the fabric stencils that are included. Once printed you stuff the fabric stencils with the stuffing material included and attach the entire body to a plastic pair of feet...voila your Printies is created.

You are able to purchase additional supplies as required through their site, but I would recommend returning to Amazon and purchasing them here...comparison shopping will definitely fit the bill here since these child attractions are out of control as of late. :)

Overall a great product for a fun time.....

My daughter asked me for these and at first I was worried about how they would work in my printer. It turns out they really do work! She's been able to make them all by herself and loves the site.

Very difficult to print, but kids love them, won't buy them again though, too much fiddling around for parents, probably won't be a long term toy as they just sit on some plastic feet, but at the moment the kids are happy.

This product is terrible. The registration and downloading were frustrating. While our kid's had fun designing them, the end result was a very expensive and ugly stuffed animal. The amount of ink and the constant jamming of the printer was ridiculous enough, but all the jamming broke the feed into the printer. Do not buy this product!!!

Very easy to install and run the program, very fun for my 8 year old, as well as for myself! I couldn't help but request that she leave at least one for me to do. I think this is a great idea and an affordable alternative to those build a bear stores. Kids love to design and create their own stuffed animals so I thought this was cool and unique. I couldn't stand to spend $25 for another bear stuffed animal to just lay there in my kids' room.

Sometimes toys such as this are really cool in their concept, but they fall short in quality or actually being able to create the items as shown on the commercials, but this one totally lives up to the hype. It's a fun craft where my daughter can be creative, but it's not messy and she really doesn't need much assistance from me. But it's also a fun project to do together. Also, I love how you have the ability to create your pets and save them for later if you don't happen to be near a printer. Very cool item!

In order to use this product you have to complete a registration process and download software in order to print out your animals. The registration process is not easy to follow and something went wrong because the software will not download. I am not a computer novice and this stuff does not typically confuse me but something is not set up right with this application. The product is completely unusable without the software. The company does not provide any customer service other than an option to email them. They say they will get back to you as soon as possible. Three days later I have not heard anything. My kids look at the box and want to make their printies. It is a pathetic situation. This was a complete waste of money.

My daughter received this as a gift and we have been buying refills ever since!

They are affordable and they make for a great reainy afternoon and or playdate too!

I was quite excited when I heard about these. They seemed like they would be perfect for a rainy afternoon and that they would nice and relaxing. I was wrong... for starters I HATED the application for these, the choices were very limited and what was available never fit. When I tried to get the eyes to fit my dog they ended up shrinking. The clothes are impossible to get to fit and I was unable to put any clothes on. But why the 3-star rating then? I have to admit that the finished product was nice and I did not have any problems printing the cotton through my Canon MultiPASS MP390, even though it is quite old.
