I wasn't exactly sure what this was when I ordered it. I bought this for my 3 year old niece, she is as smart as a 5 year old though. The controller works something like a video game controller. It does have color by numbers on it as well but I think more than anything it helps to build the hand/eye coordination. It's definitely a good buy for the price and it's very small and copact so you can take it with you very easily.

We gave this gift to my 5 year old for her birthday and she spends a great deal of time playing with it and talking about her color creations.
I feel that there are definately more educational toys, however it definately keeps her occupied and happy.
I love that it is encouraging her creative imagination and suggest if your little girl loves princesses and coloring, it is a great idea.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and my 3 year old plays with it everyday, its so easy to work. She had to have help the first couple of time but its a great tool to learn patience and colors. I highly recommend this as an educational toy.
