Product Description

Amazon.com Review

For use in homes and offices, these electronic devices plug into wall sockets and emit a high-frequency, ultrasonic sound (30 to 60 kHz) that repels rodents but is inaudible to humans and nonrodent pets. The devices are humane and nontoxic but effectively chase away rodents and prevent damage and rodent-borne diseases. Under ideal conditions (few sound-absorbing materials), each repeller delivers sound to 400 square feet of space. Red LED lights in front show that the units are working. The devices measure 3-1/8 inches square, function for five to seven years or more, and carry a 90-day, full-refund satisfaction guarantee and a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Product Description

PestChaser emits high frequency sound (ultrasound) in a range that repels rodents from an enclosed area. The sound is loud and very annoying to the rodents, but inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. This humane, non-toxic approach to rodent control is extremely effective and affordable. The set of 3 direct plug in units are excellent for rooms where the outlet is not blocked by furniture or drapes. Please keep in mind that each PestChaser only works in the room it is in, as ultrasound won't travel through walls or other solid objects.

4.0 out of 5 stars much better than others, July 25, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Sonic Technology PC3000 PestChaser Direct Plug-In Electronic Rodent Repellers, Set of 3 (Lawn & Patio)
This sonic pest repeller works a lot better than others. It will keep away a lot of rodents and decrease the number of spiders drastically. You will start to see less and less spider webs and it does not make a whole lot of noise. I would define tally recommend this over other sonic pest repellers and is well worth the money for how much of a decrease in insects and creatures.

1.0 out of 5 stars Completely useless and ineffective, March 13, 2006

This review is from: Sonic Technology PC3000 PestChaser Direct Plug-In Electronic Rodent Repellers, Set of 3 (Lawn & Patio)
This product is a waste of money. The mice in my room are completely unaffected, and walk right by the device without any sign of concern. Besides being ineffective, the devices themselves make a slight buzzing sound (not silent as advertised). I now have to buy a set of (humane) mousetraps, and I recommend that anyone reading this do the same and save themselves $40.

1.0 out of 5 stars no more mice in the attic, January 3, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
IT TOOK A LONG TIME FOR THIS PRODUCT TO ARRIVE, I'D GIVEN UP ON IT, BUT ONCE IT CAME IT WORKS JUST FINE. IT EVEN SEEMS TO KEEP DOWN THE SPIDER POPULATION IN THE BASEMENT. YOU NEED TWO FOR A LARGE ATTIC, MORE IF THERE ARE WALLS OR BARRIERS OF ANY KIND IN BETWEEN.
