Product Description

Amazon.com Review

For use in warehouses, barns, schools, hospitals, and other businesses as well as in homes, this electronic device plugs into a wall socket and emits a high-frequency, ultrasonic sound (30 to 60 kHz) that repels rodents but is inaudible to humans, pets, and farm animals. It's humane and nontoxic but effective at reducing rodent damage and rodent-borne diseases. Under ideal conditions (few sound-absorbing materials), the repeller delivers sound to 1,000 square feet of space. Detailed instructions for effective placement in warehouses and other commercial structures are included. The device measures 3-1/4 by 3-1/4 by 2 inches. In addition to the wall-socket plug, two long screws are included to secure the device to a wall. With a life expectancy of 10 or more years, the rodent repeller carries a 90-day, full-refund satisfaction guarantee and a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Product Description

PestChaser emits high frequency sound (ultrasound) in a range that repels rodents from an enclosed area. The sound is loud and very annoying to the rodents, but inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. This humane, non-toxic approach to rodent control is extremely effective and affordable. The Commercial unit is excellent in warehouses, barns, hospitals, schools, or in homes where a stubborn rodent infestation exists. Twice as powerful as our standard household PestChaser. Please keep in mind that each PestChaser only works in the room it is in, as ultrasound won't travel through walls or other solid objects.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked for me!, December 5, 2006

Several months ago we saw a mouse crossing the living room and running into the kitchen where it dissapeared, probably going to the neighbors'. We knew some other apartments in the building had rodent problems - not surprisingly, we live in Washington DC, rodent capital. But since purchasing the rodent repeller, we have not seen any mice or droppings. Seems to work great and it has been over six months!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money - even on sale!, May 17, 2002
This review is from: Sonic Technology PC600C PestChaser Commercial Model Electronic Rodent Repeller (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this, because we'd started having a real mouse problem in our home. I plugged it in, and I waited for the recommended 6 to 9 days. After 3 weeks, we set mouse traps in front of it and were catching mice daily. This didn't deter them at all.

I actually came into the kitchen one evening to turn off a light that had been left on and saw a mouse sitting in front of the unit eating some crumb my daughter had dropped.

The unit may have been defective (no way of checking), but I wouldn't have another one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Commercial PestChaser, February 22, 2008
This product is not a single solution to a rodent problem, but needs to be used in combination with traps to catch the mice. Our mouse did not leave, but started running more after this device was used. Hopefully, with the traps and the PestChaser, our mouse will be caught.
