Although it's been many years since the release of Tecmo Bowl, it remains the greatest multi-player football game of all time. It's more than just a classic; it's a one of a kind gaming masterpiece. One of the best features of the game is its comparative simplicity. For years Tecmo Bowl has reigned supreme, and there are no signs of it abdicating its throne anytime soon.

Football games have gotten flashier, somewhat more entertaining since this game came out, but I still can't help but go back and play it time and again. Probably my favorite NES sports game ever, and all around football game ever as well. Choose the Bears with Payton? Heck, be LA with Allen and Jackson and your opponent (computer or player) won't be able to stop you all day (unless of course they play New York or Chicago). Be NY and your opponent won't make a single field goal or extra point. Nothing competes with the original tecmo bowl. Nothing.

My Grandsons are so pleased with this game. The game arrived clean and it plays very well for a pre-owned game. These games are hard to find at such a reasonable price. This seller is great. I will always buy from this seller for these games. Thank you very much.

i would definately buy from this seller again...its not maddon, but without this game there wouldve been no maddon. I thought this game would be a breeze but it is a challange! play it on season, its a blast. great throwback game!

Before there was Madden, there was Tecmo Bowl, the granddaddy of all football games. It becomes a honor whenever Tecmo Bowl is used to describe anything to this day. The game set the standard of perfection of how the football game ought to be played, the sheer fun of it. Of course, Tecmo Super Bowl would go on become the undisputed king of all football games; even any version of Madden, no matter what platform past or present, has nothing on that game. Here in Tecmo Bowl is unique in so many ways: the legends of the game included in the rosters, the simple A and B button for playing, the changed rules to suit the game play, the simple select and go play, the rapid fire game playing which can be all completed within 10 minutes, the four plays playbook, the game clock, and the end of the touchdown celebration. Probably the standout of the video game is the legendary speed of Bo Jackson of the Los Angeles Raiders. It became a law that in a head-to-head competition one will not pick that team of his choice. It was final and no discussion about it. Usually, playing as a defense will result in an all-out blitzkreig if the plays are matched up; however, this is not always true that it is a sudden wasted play because a quite few players are able to get out of them successfully. Cap Bosco of the Chicago Bears is probably the most famous for being the escape artist. Speed is really the nature of Tecmo Bowl. Look no further than Bo Jackson, Lawrence Taylor, Eric Dickerson, Walter Payton, Tony Dorsett (of Denver!) Dexter Manley, and Ronnie Lott. All in all, Tecmo Bowl will always be considered not just the greatest football video game behind Tecmo Super Bowl but the most revolutionary football game made and also one of the greatest games ever made.

Be the Raiders, and Bo Jackson will OWN everyone...EVERYONE. He's the only guy who can beat a defense, even if the defense knows the play...TECMO BO...the god of video game athletes.

Bought as Christmas gift. He loved it. Worked great, quick shipping, great price. Shipping package was not great, but arrived with no damage. Would recommend this merchant. Would buy from again.
