As a Tecmo Bowl addict since the very first game, I too was really dissapointed when I first played this game.

I was mostly set back by the lack of advancement. After the Special Edition and the Final Edition, the Tecmo Series grew from it's early days with putting realism of the roster management into the arcade play. The onfield graphics were improving, too.

This game just didn't take the jump you'd expect from SNES to PS.

This game is almost an exact copy of the NES Tecmo Super Bowl. The only upside to this game is the unlimited roster editing.

This game is nothing at all like past Tecmo Bowls. You don't get to guess what play the other person picks anymore, you just pick defenses. It's like a sideways scrolling version of Madden. Stick w/ the SNES version, it's 1,000 times better. This game shows why they never bothered making another for the Playstation.

I have always been a huge fan of the Tecmo bowl/Superbowl series, and I bought this hoping it would be the best one as it came out in '96 on the playstation, yet it's one of the worst games I've ever seen. I'm sure it's playable once you get "used to it", but the graphics and sounds are the worst of any game in the series. I find it hard to believe Tecmo released this

I AM VERY SURPRISE THIS GAME GETS A ONE STAR. THIS IS A REAL FUN TECMO BOWL GAME REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE OTHER REVIEWERS SAW. I CANNOT STOP PLAYING IT. ONE OF THE MOST FUNEST GAMES AROUND.

What ...is this supposed to be? A botched port of the Nintendo classic, this comes along as the worst football game on any system today. I cannot imagine why anyone would want this. The graphics are only slightly updated from its last installment (and that was on the SNES!), meaning they are really bad. The game is unplayable, and I hated it.
