Channelling Clara Nunes,
By Lomad "Lomad" (NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tecnomacumba (Audio CD)
I am in love with this album. Rita Ribeiro is singing to the Afro-Brazilian pantheon with a techno or heavy rock beat. Her vocals are deep and rich and on many tracks she sounds like Clara Nunes. In fact her version of Dos Orizas is a wonderful interpretation. She has a number of You tube videos singing songs from this album that include dancers performing the dances of these gods to her music.
