Ted Leavengood was born in 1948 in Savannah, Ga. He lives in Chevy Chase, MD with his wife Donna and the family dog. They have two daughters. Ted writes a regular column for the Seamheads website that covers historic and modern day baseball. His books have focused on Washington, DC baseball history, but his columns often address economic and cultural issues that affect America's Pastime. His column has appeared on other sites, and he has written for Elysian Fields Quarterly, a baseball literary review. He is a member of the Society of American Baseball Research.
