Passionate, playful and smart!, June 23, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Ted Nash: Sidewalk Meeting (Audio CD)
I listened to this CD though I was startled by the unique instrumentation. Sax, I was ready for that. Tuba? Accordian? Not me, I'm thinking. And surprize, surprize! I loved it. At times I laughed out loud, I was moved several times and mostly I just had a lot of fun. I simply thrilled to the adventure of Ted Nash's music. I've never really recommended a CD before but I had to speak up about this one. Do yourself a favor, listen up.

Sidewalk Meeting--Great Album, June 27, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Ted Nash: Sidewalk Meeting (Audio CD)
I had the great pleasure of seeing these guys play at the villiage vanguard when I was there with my band. I am a sax player myself and Ted Nash's technical facility is far superior to many that I have heard. However, sax is not my primary instrument. I am primarily a clarinetist and when seeing then live and hearing them play Premiere Rhapsody by Claude Debussy (Origionally for Clarinet and orchestra) arranged for tuba, accordian, violin, drums and clarinet was astounding and this album is just as good as their live performance I saw.
