When this dvd arrived in the mail it was on my player within 5 minutes. Ted did not and will not ever disappoint. I consistently raised the volume to maximum as the show went on; and my air guitar became more proficient as I warmed up along with Uncle Ted & his band.
Ted performs in the power trio format with killer bass from Marco Mendoza who also provides great backround vocals. Tommy Cluefentos (spelling)? provides some excellent drumming; however Tommy is nowhere near as proficient as Tommy Aldridge or Michael Cartellone (my personal favorite).
The sound is straight soundboard. The only drawback to this is Ted's feedback is toned down slightly, but it does not distract one iota from the ferociousness on his playing.
The coolest feature is vintage footage from various performances from Ted's career. When viewing this along side the current footage it's obvious Ted has not missed a beat and in all honesty is actually a better guitar player!
Of course there are a few treasured "Ted-isms" scattered here and there which add not only insight to Ted's carreer, but also give the viewer some pretty good laughs.
With so little High Quality, Good Ole' @ss Kickin', American Rock'N'Roll available these days this 2 dvd set is a must have.

Just knowing that Ted is in his fifties and still playin' guitar and rockin' like a bad-a## warms my heart. Ted has got the rock-n-roll attitude and it comes on strong in this DVD!

There is full concert footage, where Ted and his band just play their little hearts out, and there is some older stuff, like a television appearence of The Amboy Dukes from the sixties(Ted's first major band) There's also a cool clip of him rehearsing with his band. Also--this is kinda cool--there's a clip of TED PLAYING A SLOW ELECTRIC BLUES SONG AT HIS MANAGER'S WEDDING. Being a huge electric blues fan, I salivated watching and listening to Ted jam out the blues!!

This DVD is pure Ted Nugent. Invite over a bunch of rock-n-roll friends, grill some meat in your backyard, and rock to this DVD.

TED NUGENT IS BY FAR THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER IN THE WORLD AND THIS DVD PROVES IT.IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY .THE NUGE NEVER SOUNDED BETTER OR PLAYED BETTER.I SEEN TED IN CONCERT 26 TIMES DATING BACK TO 1982 AND HE STILL OUT ROCKS JUST ABOUT ANYBODY.

This DVD is worth every penny and then some! Ted's been kickin' ... for 40 years now and hasn't slowed down a bit. The proof is on this DVD where you can COMPARE performances from the late 70's to his performance now on tunes like: Free For All, Wang Dang Sweet Poontang, Cat Scratch Fever and Motor City Madhouse. ...!! I saw him and the Amboy Dukes for the first time in the early 70's at a drive-in where him and Mike Pinera had a battle of guitars to see who could shatter a bottle! Guess who won?? Since then I've seen him throughout the 70's at the world famous Hollywood Sportatorium, numerous festivals, including The Florida World Music Festival, April 14, 1979 at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando along with Blackfoot, Brownsville, Cheap Trick, Aerosmith and one of my other favorites, Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. What a great guitar player Frank is also! Of coarse Ted was the headliner and had the whole stadium foaming at the mouth within seconds of him TAKING the stage! AH, those WERE the days! I've been to most every show he's done in south Florida since then and will continue to do so. His true fans know what I mean! ...

I have over 40 rock DVD's and this one smokes all the rest. Nobody plays with such intensity and nobody rocks you like Ted. The start of the concert will blow you away and make you laugh really hard, it's a surprise I won't ruin. Drummer Tommy Clufetos and bassist Marco Mendoza are on fire, they have to be, to be able to keep up with Ted. Stormtroopin', Hey Baby, Cat Scratch Fever, and Stranglehold are some of the highlghts. The bonus songs from Cal Jam II show Ted at his best in the 70's. This DVD will rock your world, a must for Ted Nugent fanatics!!!!

There are no in betweens with Uncle Teddy. You either love him or hate him. The ones who love him have got to have this DVD. It ...SMOKES!!![.]One complaint I have with a lot of live concert DVDs is in the editing. Too many MTV type quick edits. Enough to make your head spin. Not on this one. Crystal clear video recorded in pristeen, mind bending, skull crushing, eardrum bursting 5.1 Dolby Digital. Ted turns the volume up to 10, pushes the pedal all the way down, and doesn't let up till the very last song has ended. Uncle Ted can flat out rock! No ifs, ands, or buts about it! This DVD is loaded. All the great Gonzo hits performed the way they were meant. Live and smack dab in the middle of your ever lovin' face. Enough great current and archival live footage to satisfy the most ardent Motor City Madman fan. Anyone who has ever seen Ted live knows what he, and only he, can deliver. It's all captured here for you to enjoy time and time again. Cook yourself up a nice juicy steak. Open a six pack of your favorite brew. Light one up. Put this DVD on at max volume, and have the best attitude adjustment of your friggn' life. "The Call of the Wild!!!" No [bull]!!!

ted is playing better than ever...with a stripped down 3 piece band, he is rocking at his very best, with better than ever riffing, licks, leads, and TONE! Nuge fan's get this one!

The sound and guitar solo shots are really awesome on this video. I mean if you were a beginner you could learn to nail many of the Nuge's soloes!!! Of course, I wish he would do more off of Cat Scratch Fever and Free For All, such as Live It Up or Death By Misadventure, Sweet Sally or Out Of Control!! Anyway, the drums sound great and the new guy really rips it up and sounds authentic! Nuge plays great for the most part, although his playing at a wedding leaves a little to be desired in the guitar solo department as he is just not in the groove. Also, the old footage is awesome as I have seen Nugent 25 times now the first time I saw him was in '79 and seeing the '79 concert footage made me feel like I was 13 again!!![.] All in all a very worthwhile dvd at a great price!!![.]

Excellent Ted concert video. Combines recent and vintage footage along with a lot of great extras. Great to jam along with. This is Uncle Ted at his best!

Even if your not a big fan of Ted You gotta see this. He rocks. He puts on a show like other rockers ( Alice Cooper, Kiss) with a lot of theatrics. The difference is Ted can back it all up with great guitar playing. Yeah, he's crazy as a loon but you gotta love his brutal honesty. Ted gets my vote for president any time. At least you know when he says something he isnt "bull sh-tt-n". Its what he believes. I would go to one of his shows any day.
