The Clarity Needed for Our Soul and Our Economy,
By
This review is from: Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto (Hardcover)
As a fee-only fiduciary in the business of providing investment advice, I'm dealing with a lot of random emotions these days as a result of our inept Beltway policies and unconscionable Wall Street greed. These "leaders" of ours lost their adult sense of reason around the risks associated with reality, and how to prudently manage them, in this case with money (and lots of it).Needing a little shot-in-the-arm of clarity around this concept of human nature and risks inherent in it, I busted open my ordered-in-advance copy of Ted Nugent credos as soon as it arrived yesterday. Reading a portion with two of my three recently adopted kids last night, we all felt energized with renewed conviction for the important things we're here to do in our lives. To see such a misunderstood man write about how in performing life's most difficult yet necessary tasks, "...it is equally manly to bawl my eyes out, sobbing uncontrollably over the heartbreak and trauma of such an act" (page 12), would surely help many to see that this is not a crazed lunatic, but one of the greatest humanitarians (and thankfully rock and rollers) to walk our planet in our lifetimes. The man is not perfect (and who is?) but he loves our Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Emancipation Proclamation ("The American Way") like few I've ever come across. With our global markets in turmoil as they are today, the need for elemental management of risk in complete awareness of primal reality is on high. Hunka Ted delivers exactly that, with intensity and certainty. Had more of our politicians and business people been even remotely in touch with the core issues elucidated here, we'd be in a period of continued prosperity now and not the pathetic state of fear and chaos that so many are shamelessly gripped by today. Godspeed to you, reader. Get the book, devour it and let's take the best of what it has to teach us in creating a better world for our kids. It's our gift to leave behind, let's celebrate and get it done now.

Public Office needs Ted!,

This review is from: Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto (Hardcover)
Arrogant? You bet... On topic, intelligent ideals with passion? You got that right! Ted, White and Blue should be read by every free thinking, rational American who believes in freedom, the Constitution, and old fashioned morals. It's really a shame that people like Ted more than likely do not run for public office. America could really benefit from many of the points covered by Ted in this book. I really enjoyed reading (for once) the truth spoken without fear about how far America has drifted to an age of entitlement. Freedom loving people need not just take it anymore, and stand up for what is right. Hold our politicians feet to the fire. We must realize what the founding fathers stood for, and what they believed people are capable of when the Government isn't involved. Ted's book doesn't just fill your head with useless banter or complaining. It most certainly encourages a different perspective. It's a perspective that brings your head out of the sand and into the fight. Love freedom? Then you'll love this book, but only if you have a spine and believe in yourself that is.

Freedom Still remains,
This review is from: Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto (Hardcover)
This was a great book. It was a fresh breath of common sense in a world sick with political correctness. We need more patriots such as Mr. Nugent to speak out against the tyranny we are now expieriencing.

This book is Ted's Manifesto. Close to the front of the book, Ted states that "according to his dictionary, a manifesto is a written statement of beliefs". Ted states that his manifesto is rooted in principles that he believes are critical to our quality of life. He states that he has tried to address the timely , very important issues that could literally change the course of Amercia. He continues, "if my manifesto achieves anything, I hope it makes you think, and p*****you off, ...and lights the fuse of your internal activism". He goes on to state that "he will never be stopped, America needs us more than ever, and he won't go away" Signed Ted Nugent, July, 2008 So to put this book in its proper perspective, it was written during the Presidental Election season in 2008, before the election. During this time, Ted actually did a lot of research on Obama, and he is dead set against him and his radial, socialist, anti-freedom agenda. Ted also has some complaints about Senator McCain. A Note on Style - Ted states: "Get Ready to Rock Doc"!!! The introduction was written by Bob Coburn (of RockLine Radio Show U.S.A.), who has known Ted for over 30 years. Among many things he states about Ted, includes "he is always on top of his game, he always has a well thought-out point of view". Also, "he is the eternal Amercian Patriot and conservationalist". "Thank God we have him". "Signed blood-brothers forever, Bob Coburn, RockLine Radio Show. Now the book, the first great quote from Ted "Sometimes you give the world the best you got, and get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you got anyway". Ted writes about how his dad's generation fought WWII to win, to totally demolish the enemy, to crush them into submission. He believes "Surely good must always wage war againt evil". He qoutes John Lennon's comment "give peace a chance", "as a fantasy that encourages tyrants and dictators to run amok over the unsuspecting, while good people get killed like so many clueless sheep". "Image that John Lennon". "Image that" can get you killed. Ted is realistic, he states the truth, there have always been wars, and if you don't win them with overwhelming force, you're going to lose. Ted writes about how the ultra liberal politicians, and agendas are anti-American, anti-freedom, unconstitutional, and are pro commuunist. He writes about how the actor Danny Glover recently sided with the tyrant Hugo Chavez, and how unamerican people like Danny Glover are. He states "enough is enough. Hey Hugo & Obama leave me alone. He writes about "what ever happened to Government by the People"? Chapter 3 is entitled "If I were president". It is packed full of common sense things that would definitely help our country, and keep us the most super-power in the world, where terroist would be afraid to dare to harm any of us. He believes that all citizen who are non-felons, should be able to carry concealed weapons, for self defense. He talks about how liberal american are "soulless". He states that Obama quoted Mao Tse Tung about redistributing the wealth, and that Obama is "soulless". There is a chapter in the book entitled "Black Like Me". Included here is Ted as if he were black, he does consider himself a black person at times. Ted begins this chapter with a quote from the Rev.Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. - "The Ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controvery". Ted believes in that quote, by Dr.King. In this chapter Ted states "I believe it is time for black people, like me who give a damn to take back our pride, our lot in life, and our communities. We must do whatever we can....to lead our families and communities to the Promised Land, which Dr.King so eloquently celebrated in his speech to the nation, so many years ago. On page 135, Ted states "Just because Obama is a black man does not mean he is a friend to black people. He is not. He is a liberal snake in the grass." Ted really belives in the Ronald Reagan philosophy and the Rev.Dr.Martin Luther King's philosophy, and the great speech Dr. King delivered about "I have a Dream". He believes that Americans should still have a dream, to be that shinning city on a hill, that former President Ronald Reagan talked about, and that Dr.King dreamed about. Ted includes a quote from the late President Ronald Reagan, "Government is not the answer, it is the problem." Some qoutes from Ted: "Do the world a favor Fidel, and blow your human-rights violating brains out". "The free market rocks. We need to roll." "Despite politicians stunning failure to do their jobs, Americans continue to re-elect the very professional, political punks who are ruining our country". Ted writes about how the liberal media, & other liberal orgainizations harass Christians. Ted writes about how evil the muslin faith can be, for example on 9/11 those evil radical muslins killed around 3,000 people, in the name of Allah. How bizarre this religion must be. Muslins worship death, and worship killing people. Ted's heros: Rosa Parks, Paul Tibbets, Fred Bear (a legendary outdoors man), & Dirty Harry. Ted on Black: Black is beautiful, James Brown, Chuck Berry, Albert Collins, Ted Nugent. Ted on gay rights - "I've always supported Enola Gay rights". Bad: Michael Moore, Al Not-So-Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, United Nations, socialists. Good: Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Glen Beck, John Lott, NRA, U.S. Military, gunpowder, venison. Jesus Christ: The First Freedom Lover, the Alpha & Omega. Evil: Nazis, KKK, racists, & apathy. Polictical Correctness: Brain Dead. Forgiveness "I ask for it daily". According to Ted " Lasting peace can only be achived through the application of relentless and superior fire power. No Rodney King, we cannot all just get along. Anti-war people should be sent to the front lines, so they can get their heads cut off by these radical anti-american jihad enemies. Ted's not interested in winning the hearts & minds of the Arab world. Anyway this is a very detailed book, so I'm going to try and summarize the rest. Our U.S. government is very wasteful, and there is basically no accountability in the way our tax dollars are wasted. Jesse Jackson & and Al-Not-so-Sharplin feed on racism, they try to turn every little thing into a racial thing. They do this in order to continue their luxurious life styles and to remain in the spot light. In fact racism has been dead for years. The Civil Rights bill, and anti-discrimination laws and policies have been around since the 1960's. We don't need these kind of people making race an issue over & over again. Ted is for a Strong Military. He is against illegal immigration, and believes these illegal aliens coming across our borders, should be shot on sight. After all they are doing a criminal act by coming into this country illegally. By definition they are criminals, plus they pose a threat to us U.S. citizens. Ted states that anyone who enters the Nugent household illegally and inappropriately, will be shot on sight, and that logic should also apply for our country. It's basic self defense. Plus, illegal immigration is unfair for those immigrants who enter our country legally. Ted knows the constitution, the amendments, and the bill of rights very well, and he believes government takeover of health care is unconstitutional and wrong. Ted has studied our country's energy situation. He discusses all the pros & cons of all the options. Through his research he concludes that nuclear energy is the best route to go. He wants us to be free from dependence on foreign oil. Plus, he's for drilling in Alaska. Ted would rather "vote for the 3 legged dog he saw on the street, before he'd vote for Obama". The American hater the "Rev." Wright has shown his anger for america, and this should have been a sign to people just how anti-american Obama is. Ted believes Al Gore is totally wrong on his environmental issues. Ted has plenty of information to back up this belief. Al Gore uses more energy than about 16 normal households, and then flies all over the place in a jet plane. Yet the hypicrite preaches against the very thing he is doing. Al Gore is "soulless". Ted believes in capitalism and the free market system. Ted has a new song "I am the NRA", the lyrics are in the book. The book ends on a positive theme such as "God Bless America", "Things Ted wants to do to become a better person". Then it list his accolates, and discography. This book has been praised by people such as: Toby Keith (country music star), Mike Huckabee (former Governor of Arkansas), Michael Smerconish (Philadelphia's #1 radio talk show host), and Rick Perry (Governor of Texas). In conclusion, this book is good "food for thought" no matter where you stand on the issues. Ted does believe in free speech, even if he disagrees with it. In my opinion, this is a great book, personally I like Ted's Manifesto. Thanks!!!!!

A fun read...,

I'm thinking it would be a bit of an understatement to say that Ted leans a bit to the conservative side.... but there was so much more to this book than politics. Ted sort of lets it rip on pretty much his entire belief system. If you are conservative, like guns and love America you will love this book. Even if you lean more to the middle, but just appreciate a unique way of making a point in print you'll enjoy this book.

This review is from: Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto (Hardcover)
This was my first read of Ted, although I knew his politics, I love his style. He is a little rough and direct, which liberals hate. I gave it to my 16 y/o daughter, and she loves it. I love reading the negative comments on here, they seem like they never actually read the book. In fact, if you read many negative reviews on amazon, when it comes to conservative writers like Beck, Limbaugh, Levin, etc, the libs just attack, attack, attack, but never actually read the book. I guess that's their M.O. if you don't like people speaking against your marxist/socialist utopian ideas that have murdered more of its own people in the 20th century than all wars combined!Oh yes, I forgot, it will work this time, right????

This review is from: Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto (Paperback)
1. I've been listening to Ted since his "Double-Live Gonzo" days and I'm almost as conservative as Ted is... But this is a book review and the bottomline is, whatever your political philosophy, after reading a few chapters of Ted's semi-narssistic high energy rants, any honest person (even the most hardcore conservative) is going to get... well, basically bored. I mean, can anyone imagine having a "conversation" with this dude? He's like one of those guys at a party that just keeps talking and talking and talking... not realizing that people can't wait for some excuse to escape. Hey, he may be 94% "right" in what he's talking about but it just makes for plain boring reading.2. In summary, conservatives will find nothing new or enlightening here, liberals won't even read this book, and those who don't know what their political philosophy may find this non-PC book refreshingly enlightening.

Uncle Ted at his finest!,
By
This review is from: Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto (Hardcover)
Wow, what can you say about the maverick Ted Nugent that hasn't already been said? In his manifesto, "full bluntal nugity" is loud and in your face. He has an uncanny ability to tell-it-like-it-is in an eloquent professional way. His manifesto has his solutions to the problems that we as free-thinking hard-working americans face everday. It is more important that ever to heed the words in this book and to be prepared for what lies ahead in this great nation. God Bless Ted and God Bless America!
