DON'T BE FOOLED OR MISLED THINKING BECAUSE OF TEDDY'S CONFINEMENT TO A WHEEL CHAIR HE DOESN'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES ANYMORE.TEDDY STILL HAS THE RANGE AND HIS BAND IS EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS IT WAS IN THE EARLY 70'S. FOR ALL OF YOU OLD SCHOOLERS LET ME SUM IT UP FOR YOU. FIVE MULTI-PLATINUM RECORDS IN A ROW, SCORES OF GRAMMY NOMINATIONS AND TO TOP THIS OFF THIS ELECTRIFYING SHOW FILMED LIVE IN LOS ANGELES ON VALENTINE'S DAY, 2002. BUY THIS DVD BECAUSE IT WILL BE A COLLECTOR'S ITEM IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND SHOW PEOPLE YOUNG AND OLD WHAT A TRUE LEGEND, TEDDY PENDERGRASS IS AND WILL BE.DON'T MISS OUT.

IT WAS SUCH A JOY TO SEE TEDDY PENDERGRASS BACK ON STAGE.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE MAN, I THINK HE IS AWESOME, FANTASTIC, LOOKING GREAT, STILL SEXY AND HIS VOICE IS STILL THE SAME.
I ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO EVER LOVED THIS MAN AND STILL DO PLEASE PURCHASE THIS DVD, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY. THE SOUND QUALITY IS GREAT AND THE COLOUR AND PERFORMANCE OF THE DANCERS AND MUSICIANS WERE FANTASTIC. CONTINUE TO PROSPER ON TEDDY, YOU ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE NUMBER 1 IN MY BOOK AND I AM SURE IN MANY OTHERS BOOKS AS WELL. I LOVE YOU. YOU ARE AWESOME.

you, it did not disappoint! If you like, Harold Melvin and
the blue notes, or Teddys solo hits, you will love this concert!

THIS A GREAT VIDEO !!! I WOULD BUY MORE THAN 1 JUST TO HAVE SPARES IN CASE SOMETHING HAPPENED TO IT. THE WAY HE SINGS TURN OFF THE LIGHT/CLOSE THE DOOR JUST GETS ME GOING. HIS VOICE IS STILL FANTASTIC. I AM SO PROUD OF THIS MAN FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE AND OVERCOME OVER ALL THESE DIFFICULT TIMES. GREAT COLOUR/SOUND ON THIS VIDEO TOO. SO TEDDY IF YOUR READING THIS KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. PEACE AND LOVE.

Few artists have affected me as Teddy Pendergrass has. Jackie Wilson is my all-time favorite singer/performer. David Ruffin, Teddy Pendergrass and Otis Redding are in the next tier, with other soul artists coming afterwards.
From the mid-1970's 'till today, I have played Teddy's music incessantly. In fact, the night before his tragic March 1982 car accident, I was playing his music--as he would say--over and over and over again.
When I need a boost, I watch concert footage of him from the early 1980's. I had heard about this performance about six months ago and recently bought it. However, it took me some time to watch it. I just wasn't ready to let go of the old vibrant Teddy. I watched it a few days ago with tears in my eyes. Teddy is still the man.
Some of the best music ever made was made by the Teddy Bear. Teddy proves that a succesful life involves not being dealt a good hand, but in successfully playing the cards that you were dealt.
We have lost Jackie, David and Otis. Though Teddy was nearly taken from us, we are truly blessed that he is still here. In this concert, he delivers an extremely thoughtful and powerful performance.
I truly love him and want all to know that this footage is an emotional experience.

Giving this DVD 4 stars is only because the Dolby 5.1 tracks are out of sync with the video. It runs fine on the PCM stereo tracks.
This was a major hurdle for Teddy. I turns out to be a great testimony to the power of the human spirit and the legacy of all the great music he gave us. My only wish is that it was a longer concert. There are some newer arrangements of old favorites, but the essence of what made Teddy so great is here.
Also what makes his voice and approach to the music so unique that the Blue Notes hired someone to copy him.
If Teddy's songs are the ones that bring back the good memories, this is a must have DVD.

Now this is a good buy. Teddy's voice is amazing....he has lost nothing and you will hear it on this cd. The camera work is good: lighting, etc., a good buy...

Positive points about DVD are that the songs and music are of an excellent quality. The entire show in its right, is fabulous. TP and his compliment of musicians, are exceptional. Despite all this, what I found to be negative and very annoying especially after the "high-rating" of quality that is given to products from USA and Europe, is that the DVD does not cater for "full-screen" viewing. Also, when I select the 5.1 ch audio option, the sound from the speaker is not in synch with what is actually being viewed on the screen. The sound is a few seconds ahead of TP and the other musicians. The TP DVD is my 12th buy of music DVD and all other 11 DVD I have, do not have such defects despite being manufactured/pressed here in South Africa. Therefore I am Proudly South African.
